Hi mommies out there, I need some helps and advices on baby feeding and baby sleep.
My baby girl is 7 weeks currently, and I breast feed her first then top up formula by bottle. I am quite confused on how much formula I shall top up after breastfeeding. My baby need 130ml milk for every 3 hours now. But normally I can only pump out 70-80ml breastmilk every 3 hours. However, my baby always falls in sleep when latching on, and I need to wake her up by every possible means. So I am not sure how much she sucked from latching on. For topping up formula, I tried 80ml, 90ml and 100ml. She can finish all every time and show hungry after 2-3 hours. I am really confused. Does any mummy here know how to decide the amount of formula I should topup after breastfeeding?
Another headache problem is my baby girl doesn't want to sleep herself. She just sleep around 9,10 hours per day currently. Even she shows very sleepy, she doesn't sleep unless her grandma carries her or I give her my nipple. In daytime, she only can sleep 20mins to 1 hour each time even being carried and keep wakeup for 3-4 hours even more. If I carry her, she always turn head to looking for my breast and cried if I didn't give her. I dont't know if it's a side effect of latching on. Anyone has idea on how to train baby sleep?
Oh, my baby always cries when she passes gas. It's seems very difficult for her to pass gas. She always use whole body's strength, and even face turn to red to pass. Looks very pity. Any mum encounters the same problem?
Thanks in advance.
