There are plenty of very simple and easy types of jewelry that kids can make. This activity is a great way to get kids involved in making crafts and exploring their creative side.
Memory Wire and Stretchy String: Add beads and charms to memory wire or stretchy string in any length, for necklaces, bracelets and anklets. Cut either to the desired length and begin adding the beads and charms.
Safety Pins: Add small pony beads to safety pins to create your desired length and then, use stretchy string to thread through the tops and bottoms of the safety pins into a bracelet.
Clay: Fimo and polymer clay is easy to create beads and charms out of to add to any jewelry you are already making. The beads are baked in the oven to harden.
Paper: Using old wrapping paper, stationary, scrap booking papers or any other paper with a design that you can make paper beads and charms from. You can also create bracelets, anklets, rings and necklaces by rolling the paper in the same way.
String: Use macrame patterns and designs to make bracelets and necklaces with colored floss.
