hi mummies, can i join? my elder boy just turned 4yr this month (aug) and my bb boy is only 5months. hope to meet more mummies here to discuss about the development of 4yrs old. my elder boy is very very naughty and refused to learn his writing! always watching his playhouse disney and playing with his toys. anyone has a way to deal with all these?

My son Javier just turned 4 in August too

I also have a daughter who is 27 mths old.

I guess 4 year olds are still young and playing is evitably a part of them.

For writing, perhaps u want to try sitting down with him and showing him how u write and ask him to follow suit. They like to mimic and follow yr example at this age.

A lot of times, children need our "quality time" with them rather than "quantity time"

tried many methods to made him write but none works. haiz....you are right, quality time rather than quantity time. so when i have time to sit down with him, normally we will start off with either writing or reading and end with his favourite activities. guess i will have to try harder...

my son is born on the 27th of Nov, 2003!
turning 4 soon.

time really flies!!

mine is super active, always running abt..
now that he's been attending sch, he tame down.. but still as active..
lukcily for me, he will tell me he wana write.. but he wants me to guide me... as in hold his hand while he writes.
he's still nt confident writing on his own, prob scare that i will scold him.

My ds1 can read and write already..now struggling wif chinese characters..hv been sending him to tien hsia 4 almost a year..getting better now...me n dh also teaching him how to read time and simple additions...

Hi all,
my daughter's DOB is 271103.

She is really very girlish. Loves dolls and has lots of dolls. She likes to make herself look pretty. Using many hair accessories to do up her long hair.

She Loves to write very much. There're so many books and papers at home that are full of her writing.

Content of her writing? Letters to daddy, mummy, friends, invitation letters, diary, classlist, list of fruits,vegetables and insects, chef's menu, etc. Lots of funny things.

It's really good to have kids.
