| Female Attendant | Hi, my baby is already 7 months old. My whole family (my husband and daughter) welcomed my baby to this world in my very own bedroom. He arrived toooo fast!! No time to go to hospital. His daddy had to deliver him. So, all mother to be, never wait tilll it's too late to admit yourselves in the hospital! |

| Female Attendant | Re: Jan 2008 baby delivered by daddy Hi all, my husband is not a doctor, a very ordinary IT man. But I must say that he is very bold. What he did was to catch the baby when it popped out. That's all. Yah, one more thing, call the ambulance. All other things (e.g. giving me injection, cut umbilical cord) were done by the paramedics when the ambulance arrived. Placenta was delivered at the hospital. I was sent to KKH instead of the initial planned TMC. Actually we were getting ready to go to TMC already. My husband went down to get the car. But by the time he came up to bring me down, the contraction is too painful to endure, I can't walk! I knew it was too late. I asked him to call my gynae and ambulance. But very soon, I shouted, 'coming out!!' My husband had to deliver our baby with the phone in between his ear and shoulder. Speaking to my gynae, then telling her ''baby is out, no need to come" . At the same time, ambulance arrived, maid opened the door. My 4 yr old daughter was happily jumping on bed when she saw her brother. Then, when everything was over, I couldn't sleep in the hospital. Traumatised by the whole event. My husband was telling me, the baby was purple when he just came out. Then, baby cried and turned red eventually. Paramedic said that's because he breathed in oxygen. (Yah, btw paramedic arrived and used a suction to suck out whatever still in baby's nostril and mouth ). My baby is now a happy baby. Smile alot. |

| Worthy Lady | Re: Jan 2008 baby delivered by daddy Wow, I know it must have been really scary, but I think it's so cool! This is not the kind of thing most people will plan for. And if I can't deliver in a hospital, I'd rather give birth at home than in the car or taxi. |
