I use my chicken a king recipe and just add whatever precooked veggies I would like to add.
Chicken a King
1/4 cup green pepper, chopped
1 (2 oz) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup half-and-half
1 cup diced cooked chicken
1/4 cup pimiento, chopped
2-3 Tbsp. sour cream
10 oz frozen patty shells, baked
Saute green pepper and mushrooms in butter in a 10-inch skillet until green pepper is tender.
Combine flour, salt, and pepper; add to vegetables, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Gradually add chicken broth and half-and-half; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in chicken, peasand pimiento; cook until thoroughly heated.Turn off heat and add sour cream if desired. Divide filling among patty shells.
