    sponge cake

    50g Flour
    50g Castor Sugar
    2 eggs

    Preheat oven to 180°C

Blend sugar and eggs till almost white, about 7-10 minutes.

    Sift flour

Fold in flour mixture to egg mixture. Be gentle so as to not break the air bubbles .

Put mixture into oven and bake for 20-30 minutes (I chose 20)

afterwards, leave cake to cool before eating as (for me) cake stinks while still hot cuz smell too eggy (about 30min) . Modified the recipe maybe thats why.
    Original recipe calls for 75g flour n 75 g castor sugar .

Will try original recipe next time cz now trying to reduce sugar intake. Hmmm. Comment if you mummies have tried this ok

This is a great and easy cake to bake for any occasion. Planning to do so for my daughter's second birthday in two years. Heard 1yo still quite young to eat cake lol :L

    Re: sponge cake

Are you sure that the cake will rise.?
There's no butter and no baking soda or baking powder.
Still I will try this because I like experimenting.
