Yar. Very far. I take about an hour to go work and an hour to go back. And take breakfast halfway at Redhill.
Better have enough rest then
Ya. I will try to sleep every night by 10.30pm, cuz gota wake up at 6am every morning. Have to go out on the road before 7am. Thought of stop working, but after baby is out, alot of expenses. Maid, school, doctor visits etc...
I wish to get part time but am still trying my luck.
Know of any lobangs ???
Part-time jobs? Not sure... I also hope to find one if I'm not working full-time.
hi all! I am a single mum to be. Currently at my 9 weeks. My EDD is on 30 Aug. However i was being sacked by my boss after she found out that i was pregnant ): Currently in need of looking for a job too ):
Are you prev a contractor or full time employee? If you are a full time employee, your boss cannot ask you to go without a valid reason. (Anyway if they ask you to go, thewy need to pay you 1 month salary also)
You can complain to MOM.
Regarding jobs, now I think you can probably get a part time/contractor job (example: assistant role to help book air tickets/functions rooms) Sad to say, usually when you are pregnant and looking for jobs, ppl usually wun hire. dont't feel demoralised.
BINGO! ..you are so right loh, last time i can just buy anything i like, dont have to think so much but now, even i have to think twice when ordering mac donalds delivery! haha
im not too sure if i ll be going back, but i really miss the pay...( but not the work)..and also, i have to find someone who can look after my child.( which im not so keen on)
so, ill just take 1 step at a time...see how it goes and hows the financial situation like after ive given birth .. =)
I won't miss my job unless 5 years later probably. I can do so much at home. Watching DVDs, playing with my kid...
I'm currently cmg to 16weeks preg and so bored everyday staying at hm..watch tv, nap, surfing net n still feeling nausea although not so bad anymore...i feel so lazy and time passes so slowly compared to my previous job where time flies month after month...pommesfrites and penguin mama....think i was in the same love-hate job as you ladies...haha
Hi boredmtb, play some online games. Watch drama shows. How i wish i'm you...do not have to work. I still have to take a day leave to relax at home today.
Same like you, I dont miss work, I just miss my pay($$$$$). Hahahahahaaaaa...anyway I am on hospitalisation leave, and just came back from KK, doc told me he will write that I can only do light duties. The funny thing is office work is light duties what! Anyway I dont't intend to go back to office to work, maybe I will work from home, which I hope my boss will approve. Sometimes bosses think staff will "geng" if they work from home. I dont't care what my boss think, I only care about what my baby thinks!
At least you are half way mark at wk 16 already. I am only in wk 12.....still got to "lun" staying at home, maybe get to do some work, or else will be " bo" till 9 mths. I am following the korean drama "pink lipstick" lately....quite exciting already, the lady is starting to take revenge....so gan cheong, dont know good for baby or not...
Is pink lipstick nice? On TV? I have finished watching 'Oh my lady' and i personally like it very much!
we r almost the same, im 17 weeks today...hehe..so you planning to dont back the uniform after giving birth?
and at which month did you quit?

hihi..ive been staying at home since wk 4..so have been doing nothing for a few mths already.haha
boredmtb, you have intention to go back after birth? I really hats off to those mothers who do. Looking at my girls, I can't imagine having to leave them behind for days. Imagine being uncontactable from doors close to doors open! I won't be able to think straight! Yep, love-hate describes our ex job best!
I have to return back to work after my maternity leave. No choice. Have to work to survive... the sch fees...house installment etc.
Sometimes I also bored if I am not working but if baby not feeling good and dont feel like working, I wont work. The most 9 mths no salary only. After that then PIA all the way. This 9 mths more impt than $$$.
But then again, we singaporeans couple these days, both husband and wife got to work to support housing (HDB/Condo), parents, cars, children, blah blah blah....how not to work? Govt only say low birth rates, blah blah blah...and pull some female MP out saying they can cope, why can't we? Well, the reason why they can cope better than us b/c they have more $$$ than us. They can afford all the support/help, unlike us. Sometimes sooo pissed with some MP making certain comments. If they (MP) really want to know how we are living, they should make an appearance/estate visit without anyone knowing. That's the most REAL...they will see the real neighbourhood market, market's/piblic toilet standard, HDB corridor which is not swept, HDB paint which is tarnishing.....small roads which are not repaired!!!(with dents)
Sorry to grumble so much. I am not anti govt but I think the govt should do more to improve the work life balance of Singaporeans. My overseas friends who are working here think Singapore is expensive. Can you imagine??? No wonder nowadays lesser and lesser PR want to choose to live in SG. We are becoming more like HK.... oh dear...
My hubby also commented saying that couples who are willing to give birth are rich. Because they must be able to afford the monthly gynea visits (normally about 150 each visit), the expensive hospital stay during delivery, babies vaccination, CL costs, maid costs, pre-school fees, kindergarten fees, and many many more. Its going on and on... Therefore, alot of couples want to give birth, but are still worried about so much expenses.
I really hope that the govt can do something about the high costs of having babies. Else, we might just stop at one.
Hi ladies! I just found out I'm pregnant last week! Now 5weeks plus. Be seeing doc after CNY, waiting to hear heartbeat
I'm working part-time at home, but sometimes quite sian in the afternoon.. dont't know what shows to watch. Or dont't dare to watch sad shows! Any comedy to recommend?
Actually Sg not that ex compared to other countries.. A friend just gave birth in China - private doc, roughly same cost as Sg but they're not going to government one there! Then I read about full fees in the US: Baby Cost - so expensive! And this is already in a cheaper state!
