i am currently a stay at home mum too. My boy is 5 mths old now. When i was coming 20 weeks preg, I left my job due to morning sickness. Everyday sleep, eat, watch tv... when I was about 30 weeks, I started to work part time. At least got income, and got things to do ... if not.. really bored.
As for the medical expenses, everytime see gynae is paid by my hubby. Hospital stay, deposit of about 1300 by credit card, 0% interest. I gave birth at Kandang Kerbau Hospital, 4 bedded, one reason is dont wanna stay alone in hospital... i never been warded (touchwood) so this was my first stay. N I just thought.. onli stay few days, faster go hm .. no pt stay 1 bedded. All the bill is paid by medisave. I even got a refund of 800+. So mummies, dont worry too much.
I won't go to Gleneagles or Mt E. Too high class for me. Haha!
are you a teacher? cos you said you wake up at 6am...
i am now working PT from home....just to pass time...and it is only my 17 weeks.....I still got a long way to go.
I'm getting depression from staying at home alone all day! I sort of wished I worked!
me too, i was drawing a higher pay then my hubby, but for me, i have no choice but to leave my job... after leaving my job, the MS kicks in plus the tiredness... so in a way, i was relief that I can rest at home...
financially wise, we just have to learn how to adjust our spending... we can always find a job after giving birth, but if "health" is affected or anything happens to the baby, i think its just not worth it.
I was also not working for about 3 mths cos I was suffering. Now I am working PT. Spend abit of time working...but just to share with you and forum members. I can feel I am now slower in processing emails...cos I can feel I am not as fast and as good as I am in office. In other words, not so productive anymore.
But anyway, I just work half day for 3 days per week to pass time..no matter what, I dont think I am milking the company's $$ also. I just want to do some things to pass time.
Everyday I surf net, join forums, to chit chat with other mothers to be....share abit about my own experience, then watch movies if there is any latest movies online.
