Hi, I was diagnosed with multiple fibroids few years back and it was affecting my health - to the extend that I can't sit upright and even laying on the bed, I could feel the acute pain. So I had scheduled for an operation to remove 3 of them but it was then the gynae found out that I was pregnant.
Throughout my pregnancy, some of the fibroids have merged and 3 of them have moved to my uterus and the sizes of 2 were 8cm and 11cm respectively.
My gynae did say that if these fibroids were to continue to grow and obstructing the growth of the fetus, a c-sect will be performed or the baby will be born prematurely.
However, everything went on smooth and I was told that I could have a natural birth and my baby growth was normal. I ended up with an emergency c-section because baby heartbeat started to dip, my dilation was not optimum and baby started to swallow her Meconium (which caused distress); it has nothing to do with having fibroids. In fact, they are still inside my womb now!
Btw, if the size of the fibroids are small, they will diminish after you have delivered your baby.
I reckon if your gynae is aware of your condition, s/he should monitor it and let you know if you need a c-section or not.
Please do not stress yourself; you can have a normal and healthy baby!
