Hi all mummies,
I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and would like to share some of my experiences, it would be wonderful if you could leave me some advice and i seem to be more anxious then ever.
During this first 4weeks, i was feeling very tired and had to go to bed by 9. I visited the gyn at week 5 and all was well, but he recommended for me to return for a 2nd check up 3 weeks later.
Although i am not suffering from morning sickness, i had a bad case of constipation. around week 7 I tried to remove my bowels and discovered that i had rectal bleeding. I was very shocked and scared, to find the toilet filled with blood. I calmed down a little when i determined that it was not virginal bleeding. This is the first time i am experiencing rectal bleeding and am not sure if this is normal.
I feel fine at the moment, other then constipation and flatulence, and have started drinking prune juice to aid digestion. I also noticed that i am not so tired anymore. Is this normal?
My next appointment is in about 10 days time as my gyn is current out of town. Hopefully all is well.
Try the prune than the juice , can get from supermarket i think more useful because it works for me Drink more water ..
all the discomfort you're experiencing are normal and common..
try to boil some ginger if you have lots of wind in the stomach and eat more fruits and veggies to ease the constipation.
as for the fatigue feeling, it will come on and off during entire pregnancy so dont't worry about it..
enjoy your pregnancy..
I have very bad contispation even before pregnant.. now pregnant more worse, same case as you rectal bleeding in the 1st n 2nd tri then in 3rd tri kena bad bad piles.. couldnt walk, sit or even hav good sleep for 2weeks! its was really horrible! therefore now i've been eating alot of fruits n vegetable everyday to prevent it.. Its kinda help.. so dont worry, its all normal.. =) Take care!
I also suffered from bad constipation during my 2nd trimester...also kena blood in stool from exerting too much force to push out the ***....yucks!! I find eating yogurt, loads of fruits & veg helped to ease my constipation. Remember to drink lots of water too!! to expel out the toxics in our body...
thank you for all your advice and comments, i feel better knowing that this is normal and some of you experience the same things.
Will keep you updated after my next check up.
Correct, as what honeylicious say, weariness during pregnancy is very common and normal for pregnant ladies. Not to worry so much ok?
eat high fibre fruits like guava to help aid in your constipation... drinking plenty of water not only help in giving fluid to help soften your bowels, it also can balanace your body yin and yang qi....thus helping in the removeal of your bowels
Hope your worries will be resolved soon hugs
I felt constantly tired during the 1st 2 months, now much better already. I can feel drained and fatigue all of a sudden during that period of time. So whenever that happens, I'll just sit down for a rest or take a short nap.
Doctor told me to take in more prunes, water and vegetables so as to avoid constipation and such.
Can try the red meat Dragon Fruit. The meat is red in color coz they combine with beeroots to grow. Its very good for digestion and helps alot. I had almost half each day.. my gynae recommend fibregel but i think its not as good as natural fibre.
i think if your constipation is very bad, you can let your gyn know. he/she should be able to prescribe some fiber stuff for you. but do try to take more fruits and veggies.
i am slightly lactose intolerant. so i just need to drink milk (which i need to in any case) and so no problems with constipation. my prob is the opp from you. haha....
Is taking orange juice ok? Cannot take the taste of plain water. My mother in law has been boiling red date with longan and have been drinking it almost everyday since I dont't like plain water. Anyone has the same experience?
gynae told me to reduce intake of acidic fruits, like lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, etc. and no raw food, alcohol, and reduce caffeine, e.g. coffee, coke, etc.
if you have a cat, you might want to make sure your hubby or someone else cleans the litter frequently. apparently cat litter contains some stuff which is bad for preggers.
i do get a fair bit of bloatedness, cramps. but gynae says it normal. cos uterus expanding to hold the baby.
also told to stay away from vigorous exercise for the 1st tri, just to be safe.
other than that, can very much stick to normal routine, eat normally and healthy. Not taking other supplements other than the folic acid and vit D tabs prescribed by doc.
As for tiredness, MTB normally gets tired easily during 1st tri then it kinda disappears for the 2nd tri and reappears for 3rd tri. Impt thing is that you have to not worry too much and stay happy! Enjoy your preggership while it last
I am currently in my week 7, going to week 8 and suddenly all my symptoms are gone. I used to be tired all the time but now not anymore. In week 6, I have 2 cases of spotting, went to gynae and i was prescribed progesterone pills and one day a stream of blood with some clots flow out.
I did not see the gynae immediately cause there is no cramps.
I am a bit worried now because suddenly all the symptoms are gone.
Have anyone of you experience this before?
Hi hmjn hope all is well.
Thanks mummies for all your advice.
I finally had a visit to my gyn, and he says that it is piles and i did not have to worry, and since it did not happen again he agreed that i should continue with taking prune juice and increase the amt of fruits/ veg a day but did not give me additional medication. Baby is growing steadily so 1 feel much better now, about 2cm now
Thank you for all your advise and concern.
I went to see my gynae last week and the baby is fine. Thank goodness.
I was so worried and my heart beating so fast during the scanning.
However, I still have 2 spots of blood clots near the placenta and the doc said it could be due to various reasons but not be be alarmed of now.
Now, I just have to rest as much as possible until the end of 1st trimester.
glad that you are alright, yes do try rest as much as possible as its very tiring for 1st trimester as your body is still getting used to having a baby in it.... I sleep almost 3/4 of the day when i was in my 1st trimester....
