I realise some of the food I cannot take (because I found out that certain food I take will make me feel nausea).
Just finish my lunch, and I know I take wrong food just now. (Sweet potatoes....)
Oh ya..... I got very big tummy during 1st pregnancy n gt ppl say i like gt twin inside....
At least nause and vomit cut down a lot, from 2-3times to once a day.
But I must know what I can't take loh! If not, later will suffer..
Yesterday just complete my blood test + Oscar test, my baby is not coorporate when do the scanning. Try 3 times than success.
1st time, position not correct (baby head down but leg up)
2nd time, position is sligtly better but still not what we want (keep sleeping, people distrub also dont't care)
But think another way is this is the longest time I see my baby thru ultrasound.
Super cute, he/she hiccup until change the position from right to left..
Visit gynae as well because at the same floor
My EDD change , from 25.10.09 to 21.10.09...
Gynae mention my baby grow very fast..
Everytime vomit still can grow so fast meh?
Whats oscar test?
Our FAU also provides a One-stop Clinic for Assessment of Risk for Fetal Anomalies (OSCAR), which is a first trimester option offered to all pregnant women as an earlier and more accurate method of screening for risk of fetal anomalies, in particular Down Syndrome (Trisomy 21).
1.Screening for chromosomal defects in the first rather than the second trimester provides earlier reassurance for those with a normal result.
2.The composite risk score will help you decide whether you want any invasive testing such as CVS or Amniocentesis.
3. For those choosing this optional test, it will also be less traumatic if a termination is necessary.
What does OSCAR involve?1.Ultrasound measurement of Nuchal Translucency (not) at 11-13 weeks days gestation of the fetus.
2.A sample of the mother's blood is analysed for levels of free beta hCG and PAPP-A (Pregnancy associated plasma Protein A).
Studies have shown that Down Syndrome is associated with•Increased maternal ageThe detection rate of Trisomy 21 by this method would be about 90%, for a false positive rate of 5%. This is superior to the 65% by maternal age and second trimester serum biochemistry; and 80% detection rate by not and maternal age in the first trimester.
•Increased fetal nuchal translucency thickness (not)
•Increased maternal serum free beta-hCG and
•Decreased pregnancy-associated plasma protein A (PAPP-A) concentration
But at that moment I will think how come my baby so cute
Until today, I still tell my hubby that our baby so cute.... Can see the baby hipcup and move left and right...
Today my morning sickness a bit serious, nausea a lot...
And yes, baby still do grow even if you puke. And the baby's growth is not very linear. I think my baby was growing at 2cm/month. However at the 18 week, when i go and see the doc, the baby grew by about 3cm. haha.
Is oscar test highly recommended? As in, should do or not? what are your views?
For my case, I choose to do the test because hubby and I decide to abort if the children is adnormal.
I am just 29yrs old before birthday.
My risk according the chart actually is not high and my gynae mention to me before if I am anti-abortion dont't do the test.
Since already do the OSCAR Test and my result is not good - 'high risk', so we decide to carry on the amnio test.
