Currently in my 25weeks..This Few nights i've been waking up afew times to scratch my belly! Its so itcy that irritated my sleep e whole night!.. I wonder if its normal that belly wil itch at night or its because of my stretch mark cream.. But i've been using my stretch mark cream (Mustela brand) since i was 2 month preg and doesnt hav this problem at night before..
So anyone has e same problem?
i think the belly feels very itchy because the skin is being stretched a lot.
I had this prob too in my third trimester. I couldn't tahan the itch and kept scratching. In the end, I kenna a lot of stretch marks which i didn't have in my second and first trimester.
Feel that my scratching worsened the stretch marks.
Try using calamine lotion or putting cold compresses on the tummy to ease the itch?
How about mayb you consult your gyane about it?
Or you wanna try being off the stretch mark cream for a while and monitor if the itch is caused by it?
If so, then can consideer using moisturiser instead.. coz usually when we feel itch n our skin, it is due to dryness or tightness which is very likely our case since our tummy is expanding as days goes by esp after the 4th month...
Do take care and hope your tummy itch stop very soon!
you can try not to use the stretch mark cream for 1 night and see how is it.
for me, i can't use palmer's brand. cos not itchy also become itchy.
but the itch become worst when i am in my last trimester. stretch mark coming out .
I got itchy tummy during my early pregnancy, I use the Palmer stretch mark cream for itchy skin, it works well.
hi AlL.. Me too facing this problem.. Is quite irritating. I have to keep scratching. Now i look at my tummy is so awful and ugly. I dont know how it will looks like after birth. Even though i apply cream. It doesn't seem to work. It get worse during my third trimester. SO SAD...
Hi all.. I've tried "creamless" for one night.. n guess what.. i dont feel itcy at all!.. so i think im allergic to that mustela cream but weird cos i've been using it for nearly 4month and only now im allergic to it.. So gonna change e brand.. any recommendation?.. Thanks!
Now I'm in my third trimester, sometimes my tummy will also feel itchy.
Hi all.. I've bought palmers.. which cost $61 and comes in three (bought in kiddy palace).. There are e stretch mark cream, stretch mark lotion and also soothing oil spray, good buy uh?.. tried for one night seems ok but e smell of the soothing oil abit weird, like chocolate.. hehe.. hopefully skin wouldnt be allergic to this brands as well..
I've been using now for few days already, but felt itcy on n off on my belly.. not as bad as e previous brand i used "Mustela".. dont know if also allergic to palmers brand.. your itcy is contiunous or like mine? If i really allergic to this brand also then i dont know what brand i shld use.. waste money man..!..
i've been using palmer's for more than 3 months and thankfully my sensitive skin not allergic to it.
felzdown, if you're allergic to palmers maybe you can try body shop body butters, not exactly prevent-strechmark product but i heard it works for some people as their body butter is rich and moisturising.
felzdown, so far only itch at waist area but very seldom. so i dont't think it's allergy cos the itching only last less than 5 min and no redness and no rashes too. actually palmer's helps to moisturize my skin better cos i noticed nowadays i feel my skin 'tight' specially after i bathe so i always apply after shower and it does makes my skin feel better.
