If you are doing it at Thomson Medical Center, and will be delivering at Thomson Medical Center, maybe you want to consider applying for the First Born Incentive. It can save you 10% on the detailed scan fees. Discount on hospital bills later too.
I did not appply when i went for the scan~
My baby was healthy and active when i went and gynae just said she is healthy. nothing mentioned about the fluid and stuff. but think i will take out the report and check again.
Usually i wear 2 piece so easier to lift up and push down the pants if required.
I will be going for my 20 wks scan after CNY......so excited.....cos want to know the gender.....haha......i worn a dress....just lift up....more easy....
tomorrow is my week 34... i did my detailed scan at around week 20 or so ( i forgot!) anyway when the radiographer confirmed the gender... hubby and i were sooooo happy. it's a girl!!! and a notti one!
i wil be doing the scan at kk cos seeing doc there, hope everything goes well, good luck gal
just done my detail scan yesterday, it a baby gal, also feel my baby is so gentle cos never kick mummy much, so cute with her lovely faceseen on the screen.
but doc tell me a peice of bad news, baby neck is 6.5 cm, so it 1.5cm thincker than normal baby, my could be down symptom baby, after seeing my doc hubby and i decide not to do amouptic test(donno how to spell) as the Oscar test before this is normal and this test can cause miscarriage, so we will let god decide the fate of our baby gal,
but i cannot help to worry, there so many thingon my mind now, cannot find a person to talk to , hubby only tell my not to worry, he will not know how a mummy will worry for the baby,
pray god will keep my baby safe and health
I'll still have to wait for another 4 more weeks before I can do the detailed scan. For my previous pregnancy, I actually enjoyed it even though it takes quite about 30-40mins... coz I get to see every part of baby and also know whether baby is developing well or not. My boy was rather cooperative and I only need to cough a little to get him to move as he was awake at that time. Only problem gynae had while scanning was getting good images for measurements as baby was very active... always kicking me all the time. Even up till now he still very active, sleep with us at night will kick us. lol!
will not go for the test, as the high for miscarriage is higher than to get a down baby, will accept how my princeness is not matter what she turn out
hi everybody, i be doing my detailed scan in the next 3 days, i am very excited of course worried at the same time ,btw beside spinal befinda defect, what are the defects that we would be forced to terminate the pregnancy?
hope my scanning will come out smoothly & baby healthy.
Went for my 20 wks scan at thomson medical today.....baby is good...everything is fine....n i'm expecting a BABY BOY.....again for the third time......haha.....
thks for the support, i have done my 20 weeks scan last week & everything is good and its a girl.
congrat to you! hope our pregnancy will continue to go on smoothly till full term.
happy new year to all mummies!!!
ya me too edd end of june but i will choose c-sect so might choose to be earlier.take care too.
when i had my blood test result, it showed high risk dowm symptom baby too. My gynae just told me the ratio between miscarriage and down symptom baby. after consulting my sis-in-law who went for the amniocentesis. She suggested to go for it rather then keep worrying and wondering the rest of my pregnancy. and i went ahead with the test.
On the day collecting the amniotic fluid, my gynae said it is better to go for the test. During the period waiting for the report. The first week i worried of the miscarriage, the rest of the 3 weeks i wonder and worry the result. Finally the result is out, and everything is fine and normal. A big and heavy stone is lift out from me, i continue to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy.
you can always consult another gynae for 2nd opinion before making the decision.
thank you,my baby gal is happily in my tummy now, i did not go for any further test, cos the oscar test is low risk therefore we weight the chances of miscarriage is higher if we take the test, so we doid not take it.
now let the god decide how will my baby be, al i can do is pray that she is healthy
Still new to the forum but all your posts are funny.. I laughed and read out loud to share with my hubby also.. Sometimes he also logged in as my username just to see the post here..
Actually, another way to help on the low lying placenta is to get a good prenatal massage. Usually an experienced Malay masseuse knows how to move up your placenta into the right position. Especially if near your labour and your baby is in breech position. Massage also can help d baby to change its position alot.
I'm going through my 3rd pregnancy now, 27 weeks, and never fail to have a massage evry month as it helps relax both your body and your baby. Plus, ensure of baby's good position and helps you to still enjoy your pelvic exercise.
Hope this help. =)
Did anyone attempt to record the fetus movement on the monitor during the detailed scan using their mobile? is it possible to do so?
