I am currently 19 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. I've been rather healthy except for minor morning sickness in the beginning otherwise, I hardly go sick.
Just last week, my doctor noticed slight swelling on my neck. He held my neck and advised my right thyroid is enlarged. He urged me to do blood test to confirm this.
Blood test results came in and i do have a hyperthyroidism and need some medications but I've yet to go to collect the medications due to tight work schedule. Has anyone encounter hyperthyroidism/hypothyroidism before esp during pregnancy period. Many thanks.
Are you currently pregnant?
Im now 26 wks pregnant and on ptu since my last post above. My dosage is like 2 tablets 3x a day and i dont know how long this will continue. Altho gynae says its safe for the baby, im still having doubts that this medication can affect the baby.
I also did some reaseach on graves disease cos my eye is slightly more dialated than the other, funnily its just me who noticed it and not husband or family members. Cos till today that dont spot that difference. Im seeing endocrinologist at Kandang Kerbau Hospital clinic a with dr julie george like few days ago and she scheduled me for bloodtest n ultrasound of my thyroids. I hope you get better and good that you on medication already. What fustrate me on this sickness is that its not our fault or like having incorrect diet, lack of paying attention to health. Just that our hormones decided to go haywire and that all. Hmmmphhh.
