Pregnanacy Total Cost

Hi All,

Am new to this forum and looks liek lot of u r contributing good info abt pregnancy.Thanks 4 tht! Am in my 20thweek now!!!

I would like to know whow much on an average it will cost in Singapore for Pregnancy .. especially for delivery (as of now considering mine wud be normal)

Congratz! First-time mummy?

have you hd a gynae? Usually you might want to engage a hospital in which your gynae is based at. The cost is actually depends on various factors like:
-type of consultants/gynae (senior/junior, etc)
-whether you signed up for a package
-hospital ward you chose
-whether you can claim frm medisave
etc..

Yes i agree tt it depend on many factors like example:

which hospital u delivery?
Gynae is private or govt subsidized?
Which type of ward u choose?
delivery natural or c-section?
Any complication during ur pregnancy?
When delivery is ur bb premature? Coz if premature then might need to b in ICU(not sure is it call icu)
Got take package during pregnancy or not & aso during ur delivery?

Due to so many factors tats why the price can b quite big diff.

Hi All .. Thanks for the reply and sy for my ate response. As of now I don know whethr mine wud be a nrml delivery but hope it wud be. My Gynea is in Consultant position in NUH.

I tink NUH will able to gif u better ans coz we duno wat type of ward u will b staying n duno wat method u delivery + too early to tell if ur bb will premature or nt so i believe no1 can help u on tis qns.

Below a $1000 if all goes well, like you don't have last minute C-SEction, Forceps or vacuum.

I think you should put aside $2000 cash just in case. Most part are covered by Medisave. My friend gave birth at TMC and the total cash portion come to about $600+.

Hi .. thanks for the reply. 600? so less?? ..

I thot if its a nromal delivery 2.5K - 2.8K is the normal cost and if C-Section the cost jus doubles up. Atleast the package mentioned in NUH/KKH/SGH and all says so

The $600 she mentioned if i am nt wrong is after deduction of medisave

snhanp, what LoVeS say is true. it depends if you did get a referral from polyclinic.

btw, why don't you go sgh or kkh?
