hello! i am new here! approaching 7th month but everyone says i'm small. its very worrying cos its not like im very skinny naturally. so far I have put on only 3kg!!! i eat normally and gynae says baby is of right size but cant help but worry. Worst pregnancy symptoms are my rashes or eczema. Firstly all over my face, i cannot tahan and went to my GP who gave me creams and it vanished soon after and now I have red little spots over my tummy, back, butt and legs. sigh... how to have pregnancy glow like that?
My gynae saw my rashes and said it could be eczema. He prescribed special shower oil, moisturiser and medication to apply. I initially used baby lotion but he asked me to stop it. I stopped the lotion and also the stretchmark cream for the time being.
However, the last scanning to see baby is disappointing. He scheduled a last min appointment to talk to hubby and me about our Oscar test result. He spent more time explaining about the test, encouraging us to go for amnio and to abort baby if baby is abnormal. We were very certain we want to keep baby regardless, but he kept promoting the amnio so we went back to think about it. After some lengthly and painful discussion on how we would deal with it if baby really has Down Syndrome, we decide to avoid amnio for the miscarriage risk, and to go through with it no matter what. We prayed to God for baby's health. We are pro-life and believe that all children, no matter what their mental or physical condition is, deserved a chance for life in this world.
i just simply dont trust stretch mark cream anymore no matter got cocoa butter anot.. haha.. its really up to you actually.. my body cant take cocoa butter.. actually i tried another small size tube of stretch mark cream which have no cocoa butter before too,but still did not work well on skin.. so i just give up haha
hi mummies.. recently i realise my rash is getting from bad to worse.. at first it started on my feet.. then now i have it on my hands. never have rashes before my preg.. the itch is tolerable but is spreading.. is it becos of hormonal change?? any mother encounter this prob?? any remedies?
It might be skin sensitive or allergy.. Or simply hormones changes.. Safer for you to check with your doctor.. Mine is skin allergy only during pregnancy to guinea pigs n related stuff..realized it during my 1st pregnancy, Have itchy skin whenever I'm too near my sisters' guinea pig or the air blown over from that area.. But once I gave birth,no such problem already..
I was already having this itchy skin due to guinea pig related stuff during my 1st pregnancy, after I gave birth, all the itch never came back.. Till recently I'm on my 2nd pregnancy, then it start the same itchy skin but can't find any red rashes or anything on skin..
I asked before already, doc said it might be pregnancy skin getting too sensitive to dirt/bacteria n fur related.. He mentioned its quite normal for some pregnancies,n will be one after giving birth.. He did told me if I need,he can refer me to skin specialist.. I did not bother much since it's still tolerate-able.. Unless after giving birth,it's still there then I will ask for a referral to skin specialist..
Oh no, I realised my rashes is due to the stretch mark cream! sigh. I avoided all other creams when the rashes are in the worst state and only applied what the obs prescribed. When everything has been settled for at least 1 week, I went back to applying stretchmark cream since my tummy has swelled by a lot nearing the 5th month. I found that on the day that I applied it, new rashes started appearing on my tummy. The rashes then spread to limbs and back.
I have to stop applying it but at least I know the culprit now! The rashes are much better, no new rashes appearing and frequent swimming helps. I guess the chlorine kills the bacteria!
Tats y I did not use any stretch mark cream..
I use johnson & johnson lotion (pink) everyday and whenever i feel my tummy very itchy.
my tummy, butt, legs are all very itchy esp at night when I am sleeping.
