Great information, thanks for sharing!
I didn't have any tearing with both my births. With my daughter's birth 3 weeks ago I moved around a lot during labour, rocking on a fit ball, got on all fours, later leaning on a beanbag bum in the air - that's how I ended up giving birth on the floor. I found moving around a lot helped and the labour progressed much faster too! In total it was a 3 hour labour (from the time I felt regular contractions). My midwife was wonderful and encouraged me to go with what my body was telling me and pushed when I had the urge to push. Baby came out in 6 minutes with 3 pushes! And yes, breathing baby out helped too and it just comes naturally rather than holding my breath
