Something to share with everyone. This is from an antenatal lesson by Thomson Medical Center conducted by Mrs Wong (found this on a blog, thanks to the info my hubby and I can now start talking to the baby the correct way. heehe)
Talk to Baby:-
- Tab on the tummy to communicate with baby, do not rub as it will cause pre-mature contraction.
- To check if the baby is happy or dont't wish to be disturbed. Feel the top of your stomach, if it’s hard, cut him some slack and leave your baby alone
- dont't call you baby with given name, there are times when gynae diagnose wrongly and baby turns out to be a different sex. dont't confuse baby.
- Talk to baby with your hand on the tummy, let the baby know when you are ending your conversation.
Thanks for sharing....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi any idea what is meant by top of tummy (to check if baby is in DO NOT DISTURB mode)? Cos to me my whole tummy is hard and firm. Unless that means baby is always in that mode which I dont think so cos I feel her kicking a lot...hmm thanks for sharing and if it's possible can also share the blog add that you found the info please, since maybe will have other things to learn from it as well, if that is convenient... Thanks a lot ;>
my wife told me sometimes she rush around during work and then baby not happy so her tummy tighten.
when she sing at kbox, baby quite excited so move a lot but tummy not hard.
I have booked the antnetal class in Sept with Thomson Medical Center, conducted by Mrs Wong, hopefully she will explains more in details about this particular topic.
The link to the blog as follow, I think she has written an awesome pregnancy diary.

You'll find some useful info, the 2 that caught my attention are "communicate with baby" and "how to apply stretch mark cream"
Kohym/Sufeit, to go shopping and Karaoke, I'm sure I will be the one that is happy & excited so in summary, wanna talk to baby, do some happy stuffs hehe
Thanks for sharing, shiseru.. wa..after you go for the class must share more ok? I am a Kandang Kerbau Hospital MTB so probably not eligible for Thomson Medical Center classes..I agree with you that after eating tummy is even tighter..but I feel generally my tummy is tight..maybe my baby is to stressed inside..LOL ( if only I can stop working, like now.. ok I'm dreaming )
Wa..kohym and sufeit has super close EDDs...Okok..let's all continue to reach for the ultimate goal...
Mrs Wong class is so famous, a lot of them say she dont't go by the book, hence very interesting. Even though Thomson Medical Center said to book around week 20 but Mrs Wong class always sell like hot cakes so I book early.
Yoi, I'll be sure to share with everyone!
Haha yes you got it all correct..I also realised that you are a Kandang Kerbau Hospital MTB after I commented that I may not be eligible since I am not under Thomson Medical Center..and neither am I stalking..Just saw from the ultrasound scan you shared in some thread..LOL..
So just a question, you just called them to book? Do you have to pay extra since you are not under Thomson Medical Center? Once again thanks for sharing..
Course duration: 6 weeks (5 weekly lessons plus one Doctor’s Talk).
I registered for the early Sept class, weekend class. The price may be lower for weekdays classes. They have one starting in mid July (not sure if the class has started) but if you are keen in taking up the course, you can contact Thomson ParentCraft at 6251 4090
How daddy talk to baby inside...sms?
You dont't have to be delivering at Thomson Medical Center to attend the class. I'd enrolled myself in Mrs Wong's class scheduled on 18 Jul 09. Read several reviews that Mrs Wong's class is good.
