hi there! i did not write a birth plan, altho i had wanted to. what i did was to discuss with my gynae and hubby what i/we wanted and planned for;
1.like total breast feeding, absolutely no formula (some hospitals might feed baby with formula if unable to latch on),
2.i wore disposable contact lens for the birth, with the understanding to throw them away should i need to go for c-section
3.my gynae insisted for baby to be put in my arms immediately after he popped out from me, altho nurse wanted to clean him up.(we did not insist on this, but mentioned it during one of my visits)
i did not discuss pain relief tho...i thought i could do without...haha! like real! i asked for epidural after 8hours of intense contractions...and i was only 4cm dilated then! geez.... then after epi, i dilated fully in 1.5hours! so....things may not go to plan...like my decision on no epi.... but its good to discuss with your gynae what you want during your labour. i'm really lucky coz my gynae is very nice.
