can share with us mtbs who r delivering soon on how to know if baby's head has already been engaged?
Any indication or how can we check our tummy etc to guage that baby's head already engaged so that they r ready to be delivered? Others than checks done by the Gynae to find out..
Do share some tips with us,ok?
Thanks so much!!
i felt my baby hiccups down below, so i knew his head was down already, i knew is since 26weeks.
Hmm I dont really know when is the baby engaged, when I was 37th week, went for ECG test, the doc said by baby's heard has not turned down yet......
Some say when you see your tummy(frm the outside) looks very low means the baby is engaged.....
every checkup my gynae will press my stomach to find baby's chest so he can hear the heartbeat.. tats how i know shes already engaged from the 20+ wk
Engaged and turning down are different things. My baby turn down since WK 28 and only partially engaged. Engaging mean baby head move into the birth canal, which mean during ultra scan you cant see the head on your lower abdomen.
I guess if baby's head is engaged, then you would feel "looser" around the chest area (can breathe easier) cos baby would have moved downwards and created a gap there. However, I've heard that if baby's engaged, then it'll press onto mommy's bladder even more, causing mommy to have even more frequent urinations.
how do you mummy know that the baby or your tummy is low??
cos i feel my tummy is very low, and this few day when i walk feel like my pelvic is going give way like that does this mean baby enage??
In my experience, when my baby head was engaged i feel that it is very heavy at the vaginal area. It seems to be weighing down. So heavy that i feel that she can come out anytime.... Yup, your chest area may also feel looser and your tummy will be lower.
Moreoever, it is usually for mummy who are giving birth to feel the way i feel.
Another way to check of course if thru gynae.
I can feel my tummy is very low when my baby is engage. By the way, my baby head turn down when I am 32 weeks and engage when I am about 38 weeks.
that mean if i feel my baby droppng out it mean baby is enage right?
but now i only 35Week, will baby come out early?
