I was induced 1 day before my EDD. after admissions went to my ward at around 1am and given Picotin and drip to start labor. Had breakfast around 8am, gynae broke my waterbag at 9am, gave birth around 2.45pm. I took an epidural around noon when I was about 3-4cm dilated. A lot of factors determine whether an induction is successful or not, thus it's hard to say whether you will go for C-section for sure.
most c-section due to failed induction i heard of last for about 1-2 days. also depends on the on how your baby is doing. If the monitor shows that baby is distressed, they may want you to go for c-section sooner.
for me i never think so much. just go for induction assuming it will be successful. and it was!
