I never find it relevant to post anything here until today.
My wife miss her period and she got a pregnancy test done (Positive)
We immedietely went to see a gync to comfirm and get a ultrascan.
Upon scanning, doctor couldn't see anything and went ahead with vagina scan and still couldn't see anything.
She said it could be too early and arrange for another scan 2 weeks later.
After we exit she requested my wife to do another urine test which shows positive.
As my first, i could be just paranoid but i'm really indeed worried.
I scan through a few old threads but couldn't help but create one for my 'case' .
Is it normal not to be able to detect anything at all at 5 weeks?'
What are the symtoms i must take note of?
I only know my wife breast feel sore and stomach cramps at certain time, (now no longer i think)
And also have anyone been to thomsom medical clinic and seen by DR Wendy. any experience to share or gyn to recommend around Serangoon
Hmm ... go visit another gynae ..
hi... Congrates...last friday I went thru the same scan and the doc say they can't see anything...the doc said maybe is too small...
so they asked me to wait for 2 weeks. So I'm waiting patiently for this coming tuesday appointment to do a scan again.
My stomach cramps doc said it may due to urine infections...the cramp is so painful at night time.
My Gyn is a guy name DR. Toh in Jurong East (London Clinic for Women) he is quiet experience.
it is normal not to see anything before 7-8wks.
The doc couldnt see anything for me at 6 wks and I decided to do another scan at 9wks instead.
Pls take note that your wife is not supposed to feel any cramps during this time.
She shld see the doc if she experience any painful cramps.
I had 2 friends whom the doc couldnt detect anything, had cramps (one had minor cramp and another had bad cramp) and both had a miscarriage at 7-8 wks.
For me, during the 3 wks of waiting for the next scan, I actually did a daily pregnancy test
I'm exactly 5 weeks preggie and I will see doc only at 8 weeks. I guess I can't help feeling anxious not knowing what's going on for next 3 weeks. The preg test for next couple weeks is a good idea
Btw, out of topic, anyone experiencing your ID account being kicked out? I was in this forum two days ago and posted 2 entries but now they are gone I had to recreate the same user ID. Strange.
About ten days ago before we realise the pregnancy she experience normal cramp for ten mins. Now she dont't already. Is it safe. Sorry its my first
If you read on the internet, they will say it is normal... but better be safe...
Any kind of pain at this stage is not good even if it's backache...
Thats what my traditional chinese medicine doc told me...
Can someone recommend me a good gyn around amk or serangoon
I was 5 weeks preggie when I was tested positive, went for a scan and initially dr couldn't see anything. I was so worried but my doctor was very assuring throughout. Soon, he spotted a sac, tiny sac. The scan took awhile though.
is 270 for first time visit consider expensive? oonsultation and ultra scan
I just did my scan just now (5weeks) and doc could quickly spot the sac.
I was charged 190 for "normal" ultrasound scan and internal (vaginal) scan and hormone pills. First time too. Thomson Medical Center is more expensive usually. So long you're happy with the doc that's most important.
Yes it's the nett price. I dont't think I can really pass him off as good at this moment... I will know until I got delivered well I guess! Nevertheless, first impression is not too bad. Very gentle and shares informative advices.
Having "period-like" cramps is normal for pregnancy around 4-6 weeks. As long as there's no spotting or bleeding. The cramps is actually becoz the uterus is expanding to make room for yr baby. My previous pregnancy was a miscarriage. But i had no cramps. Just one sharp pain then there was a brownish discharge n there was no longer pain in my breast. So i went to Kandang Kerbau Hospital n they confirmed i had a miscarriage. Im already in my 6th week now. Went to dr last week. Managed to see my baby's sac n yolk. They measured n confirmed 5weeks 3days. If unsure plss go n see your gynae. Do not just assume n ponder n get yrself all stressed up. As it will only put a toll on your health n on your baby too. ;D

hi all, im in my 5 weeks too.. and im worry like never end .. doctor manage to see the sac on my first ultrasound scan so now i am monitoring my body changes and see cos i have twice ectopic got really scary hmmm
Hi, dont get too worried first. I was only 4 weeks preg when I visited gynae. I bought own test kit to test and was positive. So went gynae and discover I m preg but cannot see anything. Took blood test to double cfm the pregnancy. Return 4 weeks later and saw heart beat and sac.
FYI, any form of blood, spotting and discharge is NOT normal in a pregnancy. If any happens, please call or go see your gynae ASAP. I did have some dark brown spot before and went gynae. Did a vagina check and discover more spotting inside, given a jab to stabilize pregnancy and a week of bed rest. A good gynae is very important, I m so grateful to mine as he takes care of me very well and very experience. But he retired after he delivered my son last year. Now I got to find another gynae for normal check up future.
