Did any mummies eat food that are kept for a day then make hot next day ? It is okay & healthy ?
Thanks , i was thinking whether will it still have all the nutritious because put in reg then make hot again , nowadays maid always keep cannot finish food zz Then need to eat them , hope wont harm baby
not everyday rite???
seriously i like overnight food and soups~~~coz the taste is more "seasoned"
THe old folks believe eat overnight food will be very "hong"... so maybe dont eat too much during pregnancy or confinement?
So long as not frequently, should not be an issue.
Actually I try to avoid eating overnight food. I always feel that overnight food tends to be saltier than freshly cooked food. Coz I think the food soak in the gravy and sauce and all overnight... I didn't really like the idea of increasing my sodium intake when I was pregnant so I avoided eating overnight food unless the overnight food is "dry", like fried rice and stuff like that without gravy or sauce.
Not everyday but then i dont know why she everything also keep in fridge , dont really like because when you see the food in the fridge then make hot again like very "disgusting" I felt that way then she put in fridge already , next day take out fry again . Hot dogs & egg also , but no choice need to eat or else nothing to eat already Just want to know is actually okay for me & baby , dont want to harm baby Soups are fine but fish , egg , vege .... weird right ? Make me lose appetite ..
Hi Verona, you mean your maid will re-fry the sausages and eggs??? Errr.... A little strange lehh.... I never tried eating those before. The only stuff that I reheat to eat are soups and those that are cooked in gravy and sauce, like "tau you bak".
And before I keep in the fridge I will reheat the food to kill all the germs before I refridgerate. Not sure if eating re-fried eggs is ok lehh....
so....not healthy for you and baby if were to ask me....once or twice in a while still ok....but not on frequent basis
some maids come from poor countries whereby they are not used to wasting unfinished foods? maybe tats the case?
Buy tapao then dont feel like eating put in fridge..tht kind..pizza,noodles anything also can.
Wont harm you n baby if you reheat it properly.Coz if dont store properly or reheat it well then might kena food poisoning.
If the nutritious gone then eat also no good ..
I think i better dont eat the refry ones , i very scare will harm baby also . Some of the food like " Lan diao" , see really no appetite Now got baby inside , she eat what i eat so i dont dare risk .. Pregnant become very choosy , tonight eat already ,tomorrow noon see same thing very fan wei .. Sometime the food also become tasteless one ..
Thanks for all mummies help
me.. but not always.. that time during last tri always hungry so i just eat whatever i can find at hm.. but my mum dont really keep leftover food so only once in awhile. but must make sure the food is not spoilt and must heat it before eating =)
I do eat overnight food now but not when i'm preg. Mostly is soup, not fried food or vegetable.
I still eat over night food, but not all the time. So far, it's been ok.
actually every1 please dont mind me commenting horrr~~
i just find fried food overnight and refry again is a bit disgusting~~~
i dont mind soupy stuff.....
the only thing that i can stand as fried and refried is those Nian Gao (Sticky brown ricecake eaten during CNY, coated with flour)
for me, i dont like to eat overnight food.
just that sometimes my dad cook some food like hong zhao ji n asam fish, then cant finish he will keep n reheat the next day.
other than that, wont keep overnight.
sometimes my mum will keep rice overnight (if too much) n cook fried rice.
i guess basically it is fine if you handle it properly.
Dump away the food if left only a little. Lazy to keep in fridge.
Ya ! When i see the re-fry food , really cannot stand it . Find it very disgusting , plus its quite oily . The look of it already cannot tahan . How to eat O.o Stopped already
I did not eat overnight leftovers during my pregnancy.
My digestive system is quite sensitive, plus I have IBS. So leftovers, no matter how much food was left, was a no-no for me. I didn't want to eat them, then tummy dont't feel good, and end up affecting my body and baby. Even food that was left from lunch, I wouldn't even heat it up later in the day to eat.
I guess that's why my hubby gained so much weight with me. Since I couldn't eat the leftovers, he thought it would be a waste so he would gobble them up. Hahaha.
