I was using playpen, seem ok
My 1st dear daughter and 2nd dear daughter also use playpen when they are just a newborn, be letting my 3rd dear daughter to use the playpen once she gave birth..
will the playpen be shakey as baby grows up & starts to explore?
We bought playpen for our dear son to use when he was born but too bad he just want sarong so for coming dear daughter will try to let her sleep playpen ~
am using a playpen now
but i got 2 mattresses....one that is about 3" and the other 2" was a free gift
dont see what is the "prob"
From my point of view, playpen is rather a good and affordable buy as playpen surrounding will be more safer as compare to baby cot, we no need to worry whether they will knock onto their head all this a not, can fold the playpen and bring it anywhere you want especially if you have a chalet all this and some baby/toddler dont't want to sleep in playpen/cot so at least we would have it a wasteful or heart pain as playpen is not that expensive also..
i'm using baby cot for my dear daughter at home.. when i bring her to my mum's place to stay overnight, she'll sleep in the playpen.. both got advantage lahz.. cuz the cot can change to day bed.. then cuz is wood mahz, so can paint design myself, boy or gal also dont need worry.. heehee.. if playpen, then dont need yao lan .. cuz can rock her to sleep when she lying in the playpen.. then when put the mattress on top, then can put thing below, lyk storage compartment.. haha.. end up d cot become my doggy's dog house.. everytime he hide below.. then cannot reach him.. lol..
won't the play pen sink when the baby sleeps on it? Mine did.. i reckon its not good for the spine....
I am using electric cradle & cot at my own home but over at mum's is using the playpen & electric cradle. all 3 items are prefectly ok so far.
When my dear daughter was a NB, i borrowed a playpen from my brother. We used it for a few months and returned it when my sister In law found out she's preggie again. His playpen has two different levels, one for NB where you can place the mattress at a higher level rather than all the way down (for when baby's older). Had no problems with it at all.
For playpen, do you guys buy a better mattress like Baby-safe Latex mattress or the original mattress is good enough for baby already?
I bought a new set of mattress fm Kiddy Palace which cost me $65 for my baby cot as for my playpen I didnt change the mattress the orig set were working fine.
We got a playpen from my cousin who decided to "close factory". Been using that for my daughter since she was a NB, letting her sleep in the bassinet.
Now that she can flip we removed it and stack 3" mattress to let her sleep, so that she's not so low. The play pen is quite small compared to those cots that can be converted into a toddler's bed. We also dont't intend to use the playpen as a playpen, since my living room has space. We most probably will put her in a play yard instead. When she grows older we will switch her to a low single sized bed.
