Oh ladies, btw...if you want to buy the Clarins Stretchmark Control cream, can get it from People's Park, the one besides OG in Chinatown. The shop "Ocean" is selling at $52. I bought 3 tubes at 1 go. I started off with Palmer brand, but really couldn't stand the strong cocoa butter smell, so I switched to Clarins. I am a bit kiasu, started applying on 7th week
May I know when shld we start to apply stretch mark cream? I'm in my first trimester and I have been applying it alternate nits.
I have started to apply ever since I know I'm pregnant which was like 5 - 6 weeks.
Ya...it's never too early to start.
Was reading the posts and decided to join in...
I swear by clarins oil.. I got zero stretchmarks on places where I put them... Lazy to put on my boobs, thought I won't get it there... to my horror after giving birth.. I got a couple of the marks there...
It will be money well spent... I kaisu.. start to put them on my 2nd month onwards.. used up 3 bottles... plus nice minty smell... and it is not sticky...
.. about the clarins oil.. the smell may not be pleasant for all.. for me.. i cannot take the smell cos it smells like 驅風油 to me.. i didn't sleep well in the end cos of the 驅風油 smell.. luckily that was only a free sample and even thou is free i regretted applying it.. i really can't take the smell.. then i stick back with the clarins stretchmark control cream.. which do not have any strong smell n non-oily at all.. i still love the cream 1..
I also apply alt nightes in my 1st and 2nd trimester... now I am almost 33 weeks preggy, i only have stretch marks appear these few days,
actually it depends on your tummy size, if it's big, then start apply everyday earlier (actually should apply 2 times daily).... my tummy size suddenly grow when i was in the 3rd trimester... my sister in law's stretchmarks also appears in the late 3rd timester....her tummy was also small small....
I notice most of you dont use Palmer's.... why ? no good? got smell??
WHen i was trying to concieve i happen to have to fly australia, so before coming back sin I went to buy in total 4 bottles... (there cheaper)... been applying every nighte since week 4... (I even more kiasu) hahaha... now Im 11week... just hope that those 4 bottles are useful and wont be wasted....
my first bot was palmer's. kinda like the cocoa smell but my tummy started to develop rashes after a few days. sigh. used topicrem (20 over dollars i think) - quite oily but i just let it dry by fan before i put on my clothes. someone gave me a bot of bodyshop body cream - not specifically for stretch marks - just moisturizer with vitamin e. also tried physiogel A1 cream ($40 per tube) and also a tube of stretch mark lotion bought from watson. forgotten the brand but its from france. ($50 +-) i just alternate between these few lotions and creams. applied 3-4 times a day on my tummy n thigh area.
not one stretchmark!
the second qns after i asked my hubby after i woke up from GA. first qns was whether baby is ok!
my mom did not have any stretchmark. so dont know whether is genes or from the lotions. but my tummy have uneven skin tones after delivery..... and the ugly linea blah blah is still there........ still cant wear bikini...........................................
I'm using Palmer's.. Not too oily.. no smell to me.. maybe I'm not so sensitive to the smell.. and so far so good.. hope stretch marks dont appear coz I only apply once a day and alternate day..
anymore reviews on clarins tonic oil & stretchmark control cream??
anyone use both together? or just one will do??
anyone tried galenic elancy stretch mark prevention, any reviews??
I started using clarins stretchmark control cream when I was in my 4th/5th mths of pregnancy. Applied it every night on breast and area below belly button only. So far, am still using the same pack (200ml). Quite worth it.
I think it is effective. 31 weeks now, my tummy looks okay except for the belly button which popped out very unsightly. (mine is a baby girl)
Me too started on Clarins stretchmark ctrl cream ~ 5th month pregnancy. Initially was using Palmer's Cocoa, which I dont really like its smell.
Almost into my 8mth pregnancy stage, no stretch marks! *Yay*
Maybe you should also try applying Clarins stretchmark ctrl cream on your thigh areas as well, just in case, heh!
I think our EDD should be very close cos am going into 8mth too.
Clarins stretchmark cream is really good, same here, no stretch mark. Hopefully can maintain till after birth. I heard at later stage as the baby grow bigger and our skin stretch further, stretchmark will still appear. quite concern about this.
Thanks, will apply on thigh areas starting tonight.
