Bird Nest , Corcyceps? Advisable to take?

Just wondering if its good to take bird nest and cordyceps dong cong cao? during pregnancy? I had 2 miscarriages before and after 2nd i stop ovulating for like 1.5 years (no period at all) until my mum boiled cordyceps for me and somehow coincidentally my period came, that was in May and by June I was pregnant after sooooo long! Now I'm in my 5th month, I occasionally still take cordyceps but read in internet that pregnant actually cannot take... anyone is taking while pregnant?

i think 1st tri cannot take. i only started taking bird nest in 2nd tri. as for dong cong cao, i think i nv take at all.

but for ur case, i think u better ask gynae or chinese physician since u had 2 miscarriages b4.

bird nest shld be okie after 2nd tri... but for chinese herbs, better consult ur gynae cos he wld noe ur medical history better... but i noe lingzhi, danggui n royal jelly cannot take...

i take bird nest during my 2nd tri...those bottles one shld b ok bahx...i drank both boil n bottles ones...

same here, i took both types but more of the bottled ones (but not concentrated ones) from eu yan sang... 3rd baby le so "lazy" to prepare those "boiled" ones... heehee :P

hi... i am in my 20th weeks... still taking bird nest and corcyceps... so far so good (fingers crossed). But during 1st tri i didnt take.... i am not sure about your case... think u shd consult chinese doc 1st.

i just started taking those concentrated birdnest 1 tsp on morning n night. my sis bought for me from hockhua.. so i just take lor... cordyceps only when my mum comes visit me like once a month.

Anyone has good way of cleaning those birdnest?

Tats what i heard frm my mum, consume much will cause bb to have fame, asthma etc.. Though its very troublesome to clean, boil bird nest is definetely better than bottle...I start taking in my 2nd trimenster, my mum will help me to boil once a week and i will do it myself over the weekend...

hey i took both during my second tri, was good...the bb is strong n pinky looking! but advise at the recommended portion, not too much. I tried a quarter cup first den start taking half a cup after not much side effect.

In pcs form "Raw Bird Nest".. haven cook. was packed in the red box. one box 'Yi liang". Understand from Malaysia Sarawak & Indonesia. Buy more can give cheaper.... good bo?

It's white nest... depend how long you cook. the longer you cook will bird nest the spread will open or become watery.

good bird nest will be intact as a pc no matter how long u cook.. and become "watery" ? I think u better consider properly.

another way to check is you go to afew bird nest shops, normal and those like "yu ren seng", ask them something about bird nest and check with them about "become watery", see what are their answers are, that will make a better understandin to you. (since it will be consume by your wife and the fetus, must take 200% precaution).

for me, I don buy from un known resource even though cheap cos donno if its real edible anot...
