As per above, i am thinking which one is better in Mt A.
have not been to Mt A before, DS1 was in East Shore 7yrs ago,
C-sect 2bedded. I really like that hospital. This one will be at Mt A
still thinking what room to choose.
hur? no one? any advise?
I delivered in mount a 3 months back, took single room. I find 4 bedded too small n sometimes the other beds have too many relatives so will b noisy
I also deliver in Mt. A. I chosen 4 bedded, reason 1 to save cost, reason 2 I dont't like being alone. orig wanted 2 bedded but full already. lucky my time all bed patient were not noisy
ant idea hw much dep you paid for?
deposit is half of the package you choose..
I delivered my twins, C-Sect at Mt A 13 months ago. We chose a single room and my husband stayed over as well. We were deciding between two and four rooms before the delivery but ended up taking single. I'm glad we did because after the C-sect, my husband had to help me with my shower and even going to the toilet. Privacy that came with the single bedded was very much appreciated. Besides, it gave us more space and time to enjoy both the babies in the same room. In the end it didn't cost us very much more than a 2 bedded. This might not have answered your question but I was hoping to share with you our thinking process and the decision we made eventually.
thanks for all the repies mummies. Wanted single room also, but scare it will be very x. sigh!!!
Is the 2 bedded rm small also?

For 4 beded, I find the space a bit cramp and also thought of the nosie when other mummies in the room have visitors. but hubby said stay 2 days only for normal delivery nvm. >.<
Why dont you and your hubby go for the tour and take a look at all the different wards, so you can compare it for yourself. ^^
Not sure of how many 2 beded room in total didnt ask them >.<
Maybe when your hubby is back and you r feeling better then both of you can go for the tour. ^^ guess you r still in your early stage of pregency. ^^
2 beded and above seems more attractive to me (hahaha) but then my hubby said 4 beded is enough, only stay 2 days for normal delivery. but I also thought about the cost too. ^^ (very ex)
You can also go for tour in other hospitals and compare see which one your like the best.
i delivered my 1st baby in Mt. A, chose the 2 bed, for normal delivery, it's kinda worth it, but sometimes it does bothered me when the other patient's family and kids came to visit coz they talk and i can't take my sleep..but then again i tink they also feel the same when my family came toilet clean, thou bit small... for c-sect normally would stay longer, so i think better choose the 1 bed.. more privacy and husband can stay over too...you won't be alone anyway..=)
there is a price charge in MT. A website that you can check it out to make the comparsion.
since Mt A and Thomson Medical Center is so near, MTB can actually go for the tour on the same day.
As for the tour timing for Thomson Medical Center, i am not sure about it.
Mt A touring week day timing is 2.30pm, Sat should be 10am and 1230PM.
If i suay suay that day give birth and they only have the old 2 bedded ward, than it will be sad , than might as well chose 4 bedded.
Single bedded... unless i strike TOTO... than will consider. Ha...
Becos hubby still need to top up $75/day for staying, or else also cannot stay.
but its true that you will never knw who will your neighbour be. if they have big groups of friends, than jialat...
the newly renovated 2 bedded is bigger and nicer than the old one..
but until now i still can't decide...
mine was c-sect & i took 2bedder, stayed for 4D3N 2weeks back, & i was getting bored on 2nd day, wished can go home earlier. luckily hubby, my family & some friends came by to keep me company. husband even brought magazines for me to read. i tink 2bedder is good enough for me, personally i find 4bedder noisy & quite cramp too. fortunately my neighbour is quiet & i had good rest too.
