If you are having a smooth pregnancy, I dont see why you cant stay at home alone. But if you're ordered to have bedrest at home, then ideally you should have someone at home to accompany you. But if there's none, just ensure that the phone is always near you to make calls in case of emergencies. That's what I did when I had almost 2 weeks of bedrest at home due to bleeding in early pregnancy for my 1st child. Hubby could not be with me all the time and I did not wish to impose on others, so I stayed at home alone. Hubby would call home to check on me at times just to ensure I was fine.
