How much will I be charged if I try vaginal birth first and then receive a C-section?

If I try vaginal birth first and finally receive a C- section on my delivery day, how much will I be charged? I know the hospital will charge the fee for both. I am wondering if the doctor will also charge the delivery fee for both (normal delivery+C-section).

it depends whether your case is emergency c-sect or not. And depends on the hospital also charges varies

According to my understanding, if I try vaginal birth first and it failed, the following C-section should be emergency C-section. Is it right?

This is actually my delivery situation so I think I can help you.

I went Thomson Medical Centre and they charged me for the C section only. Likewise for my doctor bill.

When you do admissions for your delivery, the staff will brief you on this.
If you're concerned, you can check with your gynae too.
I think it's chargeable only when the duration of the delivery suite is over 2hours.
If not partial will be counted for.

mine is normal delivery+c section cos my baby cant cum out due to my pelvic bone narrow so got c-section. my bill aroung 6k+, 4bedd @ mount alvernia total bills including hven deduct medisave.

the bill depends on the gynae you hve is cheap or exp, which bedd you choose, which hospital, got take epd during normal trying, and if your baby cum out early before 40weeks they wil stay longer in the hospital and charge more, n depends on how long you try for normal delivery before proceed to c-section.

at 1st, when i check in, i pay deposit $600...then top up $500+.

Is there any ways to know whether our pelvic bone big or small so can decide for c-sect earlier instead of wasting double money.. my gynae asked me prepare 4k cash is after the deduction of medisave for emergency c-sect.. but Im thinking of changing to 1-bedded so hubby can stay with me.. so means i might need to prepare 6k cash instead now.. lol..

regarding the pelvic bone i'm not too sure.. cos my gynae ask me to induce due to the amontic fluid not enough so when i go for induce time, during trying for normal birth, i cant tahan the contraction i ask for epd, he check my cervix n say my pelvic bone narrow ,he say even i take edp n try to dilate but lastly i might end up c-section, cos he say scare baby shoulder dislocated if i try normal birth. SO i told my gynae i want a full sleep c-section.

1bedd is the most exp want. you onli need to stay 3-4days if c-section so dont need to stay 1bedd.

I was in the labour ward from 11pm till 5am. Initially, I was worried that they will charged me both normal and C-sec delivery, but, they only charged me the C-sec.

wah... i chose normal delivery.. i dont dare do c-sect unless emeergency..

think will onli charge c-sect. i also wanted normal delivery at first. when push to normal delivery ward, gynae say i onli 1-2cm dilated then ask if i want insert 2nd tablet or c-sect. i say i want c-sect. he didnt really encourage and quite resistant. ask my hubby in and ask how many kids we want. hubby say 2. ( i almost say i dont want give birth already haha) .. then he told the nurse, take out all the equipments.. dont waste $$. -_-?? lucky i opt for c-sect cause when gynae came in 2nd day say if 2nd tablet also most prob cant open cause baby quite heavy. in the end also c-sect. if not charge 2nd tablet also.

then my c-sect with full body numb. i dont know what is the correct term for that. total charges. Medisave -$3500+ Cash $2000. Close to $6000.

if want hubby in, opt for half body numb. i make a wrong decision which i regretted when i told doc that i want full body. scared pain. gynae before push in say then your husband cant go in.. then HUH.. but too late. i also dont dare ask gynae change. btw, ask gynae say half body numb cheaper then whole body.

i got no choices. cos i dont want anything happen to my baby if i still persist to go for normal delivery so tats why opt for c-section.
