Rep Power: 13 Reputation: 386 | Re: how to relieve engorgement?? i used adelynn's method. i used a hanky to soak into HOT water, then take out to put onto my breast, then massage awhile.. right after massaging, quickly take pump to pump.. then after 1 side, go to another side also do the same.. =) |

Express out the milk will help relieve yr engorgement and also to start to establish or maintain your supply. The B-milk or maybe is colostrum now that you expressed, bring it to hospital and give the nurse feed yr baby as it contain high antibodies which newborn needed it very much for their immune system. dont waste the best of the breast milk - colostrum. | ||||||

For me and many mums, only baby can clear engorgrment; pump cannot. Fortunately, I roomed in with baby during his phototherapy stay, to feed him on demand. |
