i was induced. unfortunately i dont't have any other experience to compare it to so dont't know how valid my comments would be.
nurse induced me @ 2.30pm, baby was out @ 0020 hours.
my gynae warned me b4hand that my labour contractions will tend to be more intensed. like i said, no exp to compare to so i dont't know how natural labour feels like.
was all set not to ask for epi ... & managed to hang on for 5 hours. but around 7+ the nurse who checked my cervix was so rough that within seconds she escalated my contractions from 8 - 10 mins apart ... to 4 - 5 mins apart. & contractions were 10X more intensed.
when my contractions reached 2 - 3 mins apart i buay tahan so bohpian epi =(
for me, the labour pains weren't the worst part ... when it came time to push i didn't know how to ... so baby was in birth canal for like 20 mins (mayb longer). was really, really worried he wouldn't make it.
but both mummy & baby doing great now!
dont't worry too much about it - take it as a new adventure. giving birth is a memorable experience .. & one of the rare occasions your husband will REALLY worry for your life (cos usually take for granted mah).
good luck & update us on your experience!
