during my 1st sem, my gynae told me not to exercise or go out too often and told me to rest more at hm. from 2nd tri onwards she said i can go for swimming and go out more often. the 'exercise' she told me to do was to swim or walk more. i think maybe you had light spotting, thus your gynae suggest you to stop all types of exercise and no sex intercourse.
as for morning sickness, i know hw you feel. cos mine was pretty bad too. my gynae actually told me to take some 100plus but too bad, during the 1st 3mth+, my MS was so bad that i cant even swallow a drip of water, only those coffeeshop homemade ice lemon tea helps abit, and the MS persists for 5mth+ before it fully stops and i was also told to take whatever food i craved for, as long as i can swallow it down. it is okay that you eat and puke, better than you cant swallow it down at all. some mummies might tell you taking junk foods daily is not healthy as you're preg now, but IMO, most impt is to get some foods/drinks down. after your MS subside, then try to stop or decrease the junk food. =)
