Subsizdized cannot choose doc, everytime maybe different doc...
choose doc = private... everytime same doctor
bTW you got any polyclinic referal letter? if not you are under private .... if you just walk in to KK, its considered private unless got referal letter
Yes. Once you choose doctor it's considered as private. And the consultation fees will shoot up immediately.
If i am not wrong, Consultation fees for consultant should be around $80 ++ for first visit.
Like what Gem2505 mentioned, it's best to check with the hospital first.
Do some research before you decide on subsidised or private. (things to consider: consultation fees, cost for scans and routine test, how much must be paid by cash/cpf for delivery)
OGTT is a horrible test haha, its Oral guclose test.... Some ppl during pregnancy will get this gestational diabeties which is only in the pregnancy, after giving birth will go back to normal...
they will make you drink a cup of super super sweet drink given by them and test your blood sugar after 2 hours, if fail then have to go for "course" to maintain your healthy diet and prick your finger once a week to test your blood sugar (depending on how high is your blood sugar, some have to prick everyday, but that is for serious case)
but dont worry not all mummy need this test and only a few will fail (especially those who has family history of diabetic...)
Delivered my girl on 03 Feb 2011 & my boy on 03 Jan 2013 =)
it is good that you can stop the sweets food. cos once you manage to stop, you wont crave for it =)
I understand that if i change to tps i won't be under sub anymore. but i decided to change to tps ... booked a appt with irene chua! Thanks
