My gynae gave me a guideline... But should I ask my gynae if the hospital will providetje nb items?? The first born incentive should be applied by me or my gynae?
first born incentive?? you mean the Thomson Medical Center card or Baby bonus?? Baby Bonus of cos is apply by you and your hubby.. after you do your baby's birth cert, can straight go to the OCBC counter at the hospital to apply the CDA, Mighty Saver saving acc and most imptly, the baby bonus..

Do we need to bring toiletries to Thomson Medical Center?
Hi mummies...I just delivered my baby boy @ Thomson in Nov last year..Here are the charges.. :
For Me :
Caesarean with Epidural (4 bedded,3 days stay)
Total hospital charges (inclusive of GST) : $2505.19
Total doctor charges (inclusive of GST) : $1671.75
Total charges (for me only) : $4176.94
Total Medisave & Medishield deductions(for caesarean) : $3950.00
Cash paid : $226.94
For Baby :
Baby package (3 days)
Total hospital charges (inclusive of GST) : $1008.37
Total doctor charges (inclusive of GST) : $331.70
Total charges : $1340.07
Total Medisave & Medishield deductions : $1089.89
Cash paid : $250.20
So...Total cash paid for both me and baby : $477.14
Do take note that Thomson requires a deposit of $800 upon admission so the cash paid for was deducted from that $800..And i still have some money refunded back to me...!!
And they used FITTI diapers for my baby..I brought along my own toothbrush...toothpaste..Facial wash coz even though they provided a bag of toiletries, the toothbrush is those pathetic disposable ones and the facial towel material is sooo thin..Better bring you own if ure picky..!!I also brought my front-button pyjamas (2 sets) and a cardigan..Covered my pyjamas with the cardigan wen i attended the baby care talk during the second day of my stay.Coz we had to pass through the paediatric clinic to get to the class..There were so many people there..Cant imagine having to walk around with my girly, pinky pyjamas...!!!
