Re: What are the 'pantang' things that you actually do while pregnant?

I've done everything above, DD so far ok.. Except for funerals.. DH dun let me go, other than that, we're quite ok, not pantang..

retrobell, happy ocassions like wedding, birthday and bb shower, preg ladies are advised not to attend cuz to elders, these are "big, happy" ocassions, so they're afraid will crash. I did ask my mum, is crash them or me.. Hehe.. She say both also will, so not very nice.. As for funerals, they're scared will affect the bb, cuz "spirits" will linger ard..

Anyway, I read from a book, that preg ladies are best advised not to attend happy and sad events that will hugely affect their emotions.. Too happy or too sad will affect the bb.. Maybe tats why elders take it as "pantang" lor.. =)

Re: What are the 'pantang' things that you actually do while pregnant?

Eh, I is dun pantang all this lah (DH and I do it behind our parents' back cuz they super pantang). Haha.. BUT, whether will affect or not, is still up to individual's thinking ba. If #1 u do things, they never nag then ok lor, but if they nag, #2 just follow their advice lor. Better play safe and dun offend them lah, else if anything *choy choy choy* happen, they'll say it's ur fault...

Enjoy ur pregnancy & dun worry too much..

Re: What are the 'pantang' things that you actually do while pregnant?

I remember there was once i was sitting on the bed to cut some small things then after that i realise the old sayings but nothing happened to my dd though.

And my DD has got really smooth skin, many people ask me is it i drank lots of birdnest when i was pregnant & i told them 'no'. I never take any tonics or birdnest during my pregnancy. All this is in the genes.

i personally feel that everything is up to oneself. though whatever the old sayings this & that might be true too. But still, enjoy your pregnancy!

I also sat on the bed and sewed DH's button for him, then my mum say "never mind, but now that u know u can't do it, dun do it again".. Like the old chinese saying "不知者无罪".. Heh.. :P

Do you guys mind telling me why pregnant ladies are more prone to those dirty stuffs? My friend who has been alone at home when preggy, she tend to hear funny sound coming out...

we're so lucky, now durian season already..

my mom said bb will have durian shell like eczema or acne if i eat too much durian, so far only managed to get really sick (fever, flu, cough) because i think my body got too heaty.

so now they say i have to take young coconut juice so bb will have clear and beautiful skin.

are the vain mummies believing this?

What is "our yang qi quite heavy with baby"?

I thought eating too much durian will make baby fat?
