I've tested positive to a clearblue test kit...but wondering if i shld wait til at least week 5 or 6 before gg to gynae seeing how if i go now i wont be able to see much at all?
I suggest you go see a gynae now coz then they might be able to tell you accurately just how far along you are in your pregnancy..Also they will give you vitamin pills ( i think at this early stage, they would just give you folic acid)..
Also if you plan to go see those private gynaes, you must schedule an appoinment with them..So its best to book an appoinment with them as soon as possible.
By the way,CONGRATS..!!!
pre-natal care should start asap for the well-being of mother and baby.
i had the same case as you too. discovered i was preggy about 4 weeks. contemplating whether to see gynae or not cos there would be nothing much to see. but hubby was so anxious (first baby for me) that he wanted me to see one almost immediately. so he went to look and search for a gynae with available slots in the next few days for a checkup. he felt more at ease only after seeing the little little yet-to-be-formed foetus thru the machine
think should go asap..
gynae will gave you vitamins & folic acid...
cfm rite now you r so anxious to know e condition of your baby & your EDD..
so........... my advice... just go for it!!
decide on your gynae fast yar!!!
congrats! you should c the gynae as the early stage of pregnancy has to be cautious. during my time, I suspected my pregnacy during my 2nd wk after doing the test twice i went to my gynae straight away to confirm it.
althou the sac may not be obvious enuff during the scan, its still good to see a gynae for overall advices.
my GF went to see a gynae as early as 2weeks
for my case i went to see a GP first to confirm as well as for his recommendations for a gynae when i was in 6weeks
Oh maiz.. congrats on your pregnancy!
Thanks for all your replies...well i went to the gynae today cos unexpected got some bleeding...sigh..doc say my womb not strong have to be on hormone injections and meds. i try to tell myself not to worry and e'thng will be ok. this is actually considered my 2nd pregnancy...my first ended in a m/c. baby stopped growing at 11 wks. so this was really impt to me.
did any of you experience bleeding in just week 4?? the last time i had but different from this time but only started at about week 5 or 6. if you had were you also given hormone jabs and did things go smoothly after that? i have to go back for the jab every 3-4days.
pls keep me in your prayers ladies...really need it. have been so looking forward to conceiving again...
Try not to think too much about your baby, i believe all the mums here will pray for you. Stay cheerful
fingers crossed for you!
hope everything goes smoothly for you!
Not experienced any in my 4 weeks but I had bleeding when I was almost to my 12 weeks. Hormone jab and double dosage of dydrogesterone pills were given. The bleeding stopped after a week.
Maiz, what you need right now is to have faith and be positive about your pregnancy and I pray everything will work out fine for you and the baby!
Thanks so much for your support and encouragement gals!!! it really does help. Just trying to stay positive now, praying hard and talking to the baby even thou its only at 4 weeks but been telling him/her to cling on to mummy and dont let go..cos mummy wont let go too
have been reading some old posts in the first trimester forum and seems like this spotting is really very common.
one of my friends recommend that once my spotting stop i shld go see traditional chinese medicine to maybe bu my womb and body.
what do you guys think? or have any of you done that before?? im just worried as even gynae say cannot anyhow take chinese med/herb as dont know what's inside but dont know if they are saying that cos its really like that or cos they are worried that if they say anything other than that and s'thing happens they will be at fault??
Me now in my 17th weeks. Doctor said it's threatened miscarriage, and becoz it's still within the first 3 months of pregnancy so unstable, usually doctors also cannot really explain why bleeding occurs.
Doctor said some people might take a few hours to stop, some a few days, some even a few weeks. She also said the bleeding will come and go once you have experienced bleeding. Under such circumstances, doctors will usually advise bed rest.
For me I rested 3 days, keep walking to a minimum and lots of rest. The first few days, the bleeding was on & off. But it stopped once I reached my 2nd trimester, the 13th weeks.
did you try traditional chinese medicine after your bleeding stop or you just continue with normal visits to gynae?
is this your first pregnancy??so happy for you that you conceived and now e'thing is gg smoothly. i standing firm and proclaiming God's word that I will fine...and my womb will be strengthen and baby will grow to be healthy and happy
do you know the sex of your baby? whh hospital are you gg to?
Take care maiz, I am sure we are gonna see you here often from now
And as stated by other mums, the spotting is more common during the first trimester, if you are able to tide through the first three month, you should b fine. In any case, stay positve, can try to talk to your baby, He / she can hear you even if he is still a small sac in you.
