Dr. Irene Chua is a Consultant in The Private Suite, Kandang Kerbau Hospital. So her charges are more than Classic packages patients.
For a rough gauge, approximately every visit would be around $70. First visit will be more expensive. And also doing those tests would be adding on to your bill too.
The good thing is, you get to see your baby inside your tummy through ultrasound each time. And the waiting time is definitely minimum. (:
Hope this helps. (:
thks ladies, will let my friend knw.. =)
anyway, try to seek him with caring baby so you can express or latch as often as possible or now express/latch when possible then when things more stabilised then start to every 2/3hrly express your milk. your milk will still be able to come back. i tried that. dont worry.
delivered under dr irene care. both mum and baby are fine.
hi, just want to check does dr Irene chua do scanning in every check up? i'm considering to switch to her as im with KT Tan @ Kk and i really dont't like. I went for my last check up. check up time. 8.45 i was out in 5mins which includes hearing the baby's heartbeat.
Dr Irene Chua is only available at TPS and not at the specialist clinics?
Dr Irene is available at Kandang Kerbau Hospital TPS, and also the Woman's clinic at Ang Mo Kio. I believe there are also days when she will have to be at the specialist clinics. If I did not rememeber wrongly, the rates that was charged for at the clinics are slightly higher compared to the TPS. And also at the specialist clinic, if you need to do scans, you will have to go to a different room. And the cost for the scan is a separate amount.
thanks newbie2009. am trying to get to make an appointment but so hard to get thru Kandang Kerbau Hospital line. as im having detailed scan on 20th october. i asked the person say i want to switch doc, she said to call my current gynae's assistant hotline.
Just want to thank Dr Irene Chua, i have to say that she is indeed a professional doctor.. My son Ethan was delivered by her in April 2010, despite that she is on leave, she come back early in the morning 6AM while she was still having her local holidays and delivered my son. Really nice doctor, want to make use of this opportunity to thank her assistant nurse/midwife Pei Ling at delivery ward who constantly reassured on all the procedures, who assisted her in delivery of my child. Millions of thanks, and on behalf of Ethan as well.
anyone expecting twins and seeing Irene chua?
I have been wanting to seek some feedbacks and recommendation for gynae at Kandang Kerbau Hospital. I have heard alot on Dr Irene Chua and then Dr Kelly Loi. Anyone able to provide more info on cost and etc. I have been married for almost 9yrs and still childless. We wanted to seek gynae's advise and hubby mentioned we could go to lady gynae in case if I should feel uneasy. We intend to do a check-up with gynae and if then seek traditional chinese medicine's help thereafter. Thanks and looking forward to hear some advices..

Hi, for mummies who wnet to Dr Irene Chua as a private (not subsidised) patient, can you all use medisave to pay your consultation/ hopsitalisation bills? Or anything that you can use to offset your bills? Private patient means you can always stick to the same gynae isst? (Personally, i prefer to see the same gynae.. I find that having a diff gynae during each visit is 'stressful'). Also, is the waiting time for Dr Irene chua long?
For patients from private clinics, they can call up the clinic to look for their gynae if they have any pblms/ qns. Since Dr Irene chua is from KK, how do you mummies contact her? Or can only speak to the nurses and for them to offer nurses' experience? Im curious, how diff the charges and care given are like between pte and govt gynae.. thanks
Directly contact The Private Suite will do, they will get to Dr Irene Chua and she will get back to you =) Actually Kandang Kerbau Hospital private just works the same as normal private hospitals. Just that they are located in a govt. hospital.. but if you are under private care, the rates and such, it's works the same =)
I have been reading the forum and Dr Irene Chua seem to be a great gynea. Im 1st time preggy so I have no idea what to do. I have a few qns. And I hope you guys will be patient with me.
1. Are the antenatal charges medisave deductable?
2. How far along my pregnancy shld I start visiting a gynea?
3. How do I book an appointment with her?
4. Are her waiting hours long?
Thanks in advance!
Antenatal charges are not deducted by medisave.
Usually for me.. once i know i'm pregnant, no matter how early, i'll start visiting the gynae.
For Dr Irene Chua appointment, you just need to call up Kandang Kerbau Hospital appointment line.
Tell the person that you would like an appointment to see Dr Irene Chua for pregnancy at The Private Suite..
Depends whether you will get the peak or non-peak hour.
During her peak hour waiting time can takes up to more than an hour..
But if you are lucky to get non-peak period is quite fast =)
Thanks for the info.
On a average, how much will the consultation (scans & what not) fees be?
And how much is her delivery charges?
Detailed scans, blood test etc. definitely costs more.
Delivery charges not pretty sure.. But for mine..
During 2008 I delivered my first, 1 bedded, natural birth with epidural, induction was 4.6k..
2009 2nd birth, 1 bedded, natural birth with epi 4.2k.
Both 2 days 1 night stay.
Now I heard they have increased. So you can ask the counter directly.
Btw can choose 1 or 4 bedded if you want Dr Chua to be the one delivers for you =)
I called Kandang Kerbau Hospital to book an appointment and their earliest slot is 18th feb.
Seems like she is really busy!
