I didnt see her but my colleague who saw her once had a rather unpleasant experience and said she would never go back to her again. I was checking on the various gynae in thomson to go for and found this article on judy wong :
(Is anyone here seeing Dr Judy Wong from Kandang Kerbau Hospital?
How is she?
I saw her once, and she didn't leave a very good impression on me.
It was my first antenatal visit, I arrived on time (10.50am) for the appt but due to registration, then an impromptu scan, by the time I saw her it was past 12pm. However, I did not get to see her immediately although there were no other patients. Her nurse told me she was checking on a patient in the Delivery Suite and asked me to wait for awhile. I waited for some time, almost 20min before she came back. And when she came back, I spent barely 5 min in the room! She didn't do any breast exam or pelvic check for me, just asked if I smoked, and double-confirmed my family history of diseases. Then that was it, prescribed me only folic acid and asked me to take blood test. Her attitude wasn't warm either, she seemed impatient and her tone implied obviously that she was in a BIG hurry. I am paying pte rates, not a subsidised one.
It was a very different experience from what I had with my previous gynae, Sim Lee Ngor, who regretfully has moved to Thomson Medical Centre.
Am considering a change of gynae, will wait til after next appt to decide. M too financially strapped to see a pte gynae and deliver at a pte hospital, but there doesn't seem to be many good gynaes left in Kandang Kerbau Hospital. )
Am now happily seeing Dr WK Tan, who is absolutely wonderful, very professional, I've never ever seen her losing her cool calm composure. Extremely dedicated doctor, who is motherly, would explain and guide me through my pregnancy and check ups. I just hope she doesnt retire.
