This covers all scheduled consultations and standard urine dip stick test
up to delivery after payment of this booking fee at week 12.
2) Upon Delivery - $1,300 + 7% GST - Single Pregnancy
This covers all types of delivery (normal, c-sect and forceps delivery) and all hospital visits after delivery.
TOTAL FEES - $ 2,675 + 7% GST.
* Lab tests, medicine & Ultrasound scans all not included.
as far as i know:-
1) $1,375 + 7% - Paid full cash upfront, but can claim a portion later from medisave after delivery together with part 2 below.
2) $1,300 + 7% - This is only delivery fees, it will add on to hospital bills, can claim some from medisave, balance still need to pay by cash.
net net, still need to pay cash.
Seem if I opt for C-section ,taking WK Tan package quite worth it
Saw Zoe Tay in Thomson Medical Center lately, seem she preggy again
Not sure she seeing WK Tan again
but i dont think she will do c-sect even if you opt for it, she will only do a c-sect if there is a need to......:P
that why WK Tan natural or c-section same price....
When to c WK Tan once, due to my gyna also preg she cannot assist me with delivery. So i switch to WK Tan. Have really bad exp in that clinic.
1) Waiting time is 2hrs even you have make appt.I think WK Tan is for those who is very free and have a lot of time to wait and wait. I can say yes WK Tan is good and exp. but the nurse there is S*** and chrge for WK tan is super ex and ridiculous.
2) iam already 32wk they still said is a MUST to take package for the consultation which is $1375. for those like me dont like to take PACKAGE can no need to waste time to c her.
3) the blardy idiot old nurse dont know anything about the admission and booking fee for doctor. After asking her to explain she said i need to paid 4K cash for these for them to help us do booking. My hubby and i got SHock as most of our friend said they only paid 1k!!.. So we went to check with the information counter of the hospital and they say their admission payment is only 1K.
1K+1.3K(doctor delivery fee) is only 2.3k !! F* old blardy idiot nurse make us so angry and worry on the $$.
I bought my own fish oil during my 1st trimester and when I asked Dr Tan if it can be taken together with Obimin, she said can ! Then when I asked the pharmasist, she told me need to have a gap for 4 hours and the instructions on the bottle also indicates that the fish oil and oxidant should be avoided taking together.
Other than that, I find Dr Tan is a rather experienced gynae who doesn't talk much. She's not those with lots of certification etc., but purely many and many years of experience that nothing surprises her anymore.
Sorry to hear about the 2 hours waiting time, my longest waiting time has been half an hour only. My encounters with the nurses have been pleasant too. Sessions with Dr Tan are usually less than 10 mins though.
Hi, any MTBs who are seeing Dr WK Tan for delivery towards the end of this year? I heard that she usually goes for a vacation in December. Does anyone has any idea when? Thanks.
Today I was chating with my eldest daughter. She is twenty. She asked who was my gynae when she was born. I said Dr WK Tan at Thomson Medical Center. So is the same for my second daughter now 18, my third 10 and my foruth 8. All by Dr WK Tan.
My daughter did a google on Dr WK Tan and I found this forum discussion on her. I signed up to put in my thoughts after these twenty years since I first met her through my family doctor Dr Pang who was Dr WK Tan's classmate. I have very fond memories of Dr WK Tan's professionalism, a no non-sense type of person, pro-natural birth and possess a super caring attitude towards her patients.
Like many, my first encounter were long waiting hours and especially when she is called away for delivery. But when my turn came to deliver my first baby I was only full of appreciation that she took time to ensure I had a safe delivery and the stitching was done to perfection. At that moment, I was truly glad that she devoted time for the critical items on hand and I sincerely appreciate all her clinic patients then waiting for me to be stitched up and baby taken care of. Thank you to all who waited for me.
My eldest took 12-hours. My second took 8-hours. My third took 14-hours and my youngest took 2-hours. Many many thanks to all those who had to wait for me to deliver each baby. Because Dr WK Tan believes in natural birth I did not experience any complication or side effects till today. Except for my second, my 3 daughters were 9+ pounders. So one can imagine the huge tears and the extra stitching she had to do. And yet there is no scars, no marks, no problem after the wounds healed. It is only by her experience and attention to details that made it possible.
No regrets. I will & have recommended friends to Dr WK Tan. She is a woman of few words but when it comes to issues with the pregnancy & baby development she would spend her time with me generously. When I went to her for my last pregnancy she remembers all the names of my other 3 daughters and asked about them. Wow!
Another praise worthy note is to mention the labour ward crew Dr WK Tan had. They operate with total dedication, good team spirit and very caring. One of the mid-wife even gave me back rubs to relieve my labour pain. She is Grace Lai. It is such a coincidence that I met her in all my 4 daughters' delivery. She is very professional, very experience and so caring. She would drop by and ask how I am and give me extra back rubs, teach me to breathe, instructed me what to do. In that state of labour pain, a kind word or deed goes a long long way. I'm so thankful till today about my whole experience in Thomson Medical Center and under Dr WK Tan.
The hospital experience after birth was so wonderful. Every one from the doctor to the cleaner were just so nice. I felt pampered and actually look forward to the hospital stay. I have to stop here and go for dinner, my daughter is calling....
