I suppose the estimated total hospital bill are determined by 3 key factors:-
1) The gynae you chose - if you've chosen a private practitioner and a senior consultant, be prepared to pay higher doctor fee for delivery and of course for each consultation during your entire pregnancy
2) the class/ward of bed which you have chosen. A 1-bedder will naturally cost more than a B class (e.g.4-bedder). I chose 1-bedder and was briefed that it can cost up to $480 daily
3) Cost for elective natural birth is cheaper than a c-section
I believe you can call up the hospitals and get a ballpark figure of the cost. You may also take into consideration the services rendered by the nurses and the equipments that the hospital use when making your final decision.
