Currently your wife consulting gynae in the subsidy clinic in Kandang Kerbau Hospital??Hi mummies, first of all I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. May 2010 be a very successful one for all of us and our kids.
I am new in this forum...and going to be a new daddy soon. Hence I hope to seek valuable advise from the experienced here.
My wife is still in her first trimester and we have been going to KK hospital for routine checkup. As reputable as the names sound, however there are things that turn me off and make me consider patronising private hospitals. Firstly the lousy customer services rendered by KK counter staff and secondly the long wait that we have to face. Can you imagine having to wait for almost 2 hours just to make payment! To make matter worst, the counter staff entertain people who just get into the queue when their no is not even called. It piss me off.
Sowe are now seriously considering to go to either Thomson Medical Center or Mount A hospital. My questions are:
1. Do we have to fork out much cash (after CPF deduction) for those maternity packages these 2 hospitals offered? 2 bedded ward is what we are looking at now.
2. For the gynae in these 2 private hospitals, do we have to look for our own and where can we get recommendation? Preferred lady gynaes.
3. For professional dr charges, how much is it per consultation? Does it varies alot with KK?
4. Last but not least, do private hospital operate over the weekend ie Sat?
I look forward to your replies and many thanks for your advise.
Should go to the private suite in Kandang Kerbau Hospital ( next 7/11 shop). Better and fast service.
