    Hi BbpHir3,

    Thanks for your reply!

Hmm, means doc visit $75.95 and scan $85.60, about $100++ per vist then... Seems more expensive than those taking a pkg with other hospitals, like Thomson Medical Center. How was your experience with the nurses there in delivery? Heard that some nurses are horrible. How much you paid in cash for your previous delivery?

    no no no~~~
every doc visit got scanning just to check on the progress of the foetus.. total bill per visit is $75.95 only..
detailed scanning is the 20weeks scanning.. it cost a one time payment (cuz only do the scanning 1 time) of $85.60..
i overstayed for my previous delivery.. so mine not accurate.. whichever the case, got a full return of my initial deposit, cuz all claimed via my dad's medisave.. while baby's also claim via my hubby's medisave..
lyk alot of us said before, Kandang Kerbau Hospital staff c $$ do things.. maybe cuz i was a pte patient, + my gynae was the head of department (that time), so the nurses treat me very good~~

    Hi BbpHir3,

Thanks. I do agree certain nurses see $$ then do work. Previously I was a subsided patient, been going to Kandang Kerbau Hospital for followup. Then realised I am pregnant, went back to Clinic C to confirm my pregnancy. The MO on shift that day was terrible. I told her my symptoms and worries. She brushed it off and told me to go for blood tests and ultrasound scan.

I decided to go with Thomson Medical. Though John Tee is good, I dont't wish to land myself and baby in the hands of some bad nurses.

i agree bout the clinic C thingy.. when i was preg with dear daughter, my first few followups were at clinic C.. the staff (doc n nurses alike) n the waiting time was OMFG!! n i cant stick to 1 gynae.. so end up i went TPS, as suggested by my mum.. actually, you can c John Tee at Clinic A at a sub rate~~ on that, i dont have much info~~

Re: Dr John Tee @ Kandang Kerbau Hospital

I am currently seeing JT in clinic A for my second baby, due in Nov 09. Normal consultation is S$69.55 excl. medicines and of cos if doing additional scannings or treatments, there will be extra charges.

My son was delivered by JT 3.5 yrs ago. he is very pro and experienced. actions were swift in coaxing (or pulling...haha) my son out. he is calmed, always smiling and will tell me what is going on there with my son... which really calm me down. I am a very panicky person so if my gynae is not cool enuff, i think i will go hysterical...

BUT JT is a man of few words and will tell you only what is necessary to tell you. So mummies seeing him must take initiative to ask him questions, he will answ you patiently.

My experience with the Kandang Kerbau Hospital nurses 3 years back were quite good, not at all like those rumours or bad experiences which some mummies encountered. My waterbag broke while i was being transferred to the delivery suite (suppose to go for induction), so the mess is like stretching from the doorway to the delivery bed in the suite. Yet the nurses were only concern whether am i in pain and clean me up quickly to prepare for the delivery....

I just hope this time round, my experience with Kandang Kerbau Hospital will remain as positive..

A/Prof John Tee Chee Seng at Kandang Kerbau Hospital

JT was my gynae he is a very good n calm doctor but he is forever busy which I can understand because he is seeing many patients. I can still remember he always dropped by 5 mins before my delivery (my deliveries were always in the afternoon) even though he made his round in the morning

Was at Kandang Kerbau Hospital today to do a maternity tour. Have decided to switch my gynae to Prof JT. 1st appt with him is 23Jun at TPS when I'm about 10weeks.

May I know what's the difference between seeing him at TPS and his clinic at AMK? Any difference in charges? Other than that? And just to confirm, he doesn't have a package right? thanks.

I am not under Dr JT, but I also see my gynae at TPS and AMK clinic throughout my pregnancy. There is not much differences. The AMK clinic is smaller, not cushy seats compared to TPS and they only have one toilet for the routine test. But the consultant fees is slightly lower at AMK. There is no package at Kandang Kerbau Hospital currently.

Re: Dr John Tee @ Kandang Kerbau Hospital

Yesterday, my wife visited A/Prof John Tee Chee Seng.
He has slashed in her face 'with sure certainty' -his own words- an event that himself placed at 50% probability. Even if unpleasant events happens during pregnancies, that is not the way to present them to a person, especially when the level of stress can influence the outcome of the situation.
Moreover, my wife took a blood test to measure the hormone levels, just before the visit. I assume that by reading the hormone levels, Dr Tee would have been able to support his idea or not. He refused to wait the time needed to have the results, and suggested to come back on Monday for a second blood test, causing unnecessary stress to my wife for the whole weekend.

Good Job Dr Tee and congratulations!!!!

He doesnt have package at Kandang Kerbau Hospital. Charged as per visit. Normal check up is slightly just over $100 per visit. Not sure about delivery fee.

I'm currently with Dr Tee for my first pregnancy. He's very reassuring when I have questions about the baby. He'll remember your concerns and update you every time you go for checkup. Dr Tee only sees patients in a1 and b1 wards though and my husband and I have chosen a1 ward such that he can stay with me overnight

Re: A/Prof John Tee Chee Seng at Kandang Kerbau Hospital

My first visit to Prof Tee was rather a swift one!
that day i went for my detailed scan for OSCAR test and then later to TPS to see Prof Tee..

The first thing i go into his room, he ask me go do scan cos he wants to see the baby although he has the whole lots of scans in my file. then he printed one copy for me. he is man of few words. really! i'm just shock.

he just go, hmm, good, everything is normal, can see the arms, the legs, ok, gender still cannot determine.
then ask what med i taking, and auto prescribe me to multi-vitamins.

other than that, he says i'm ok, gave me one copy of the pregnancy guide, ask me read and can go exercise already.

and everything just ended within 10mins.

super fast. i like his style, cos it's like, before you see him, he will read through your case file first and whatever medicine you have been taken.

before upgrading my class to TPS, i was at clinic c, the gyneas are team doctor, you never know who you will get. and the best part is, i have super good fate with indians and i cant really understand with their strong accent and my husband was quite pissed off also.
hence i came across Prof Tee, i just book him without any consideration.

i'm seeing him again on boxing day! hopefully can see the gender.

I see Dr John Tee for my 3 pregnancies. and he delivered my 3 babies. just to be sure, I even asked If he works on public holiday just in case my baby is born on one. LOL. I think he is very professional, and able to give me assuring answers whenever I have doubts. always have to wait for at least 1-2 weeks if I were to change my appointment. but I dont't mind.

Re: A/Prof John Tee Chee Seng at Kandang Kerbau Hospital

Dr Tee is my Gynae. This is my 3rd child. My previous 2 is not deliver by him. I dont choose the previous one becos I feel that the doctor dont have any integrity.. My 1st child was born with breech position. I need to have c-sec. 2nd child was normal. But he also ask me to c-sec which I recently found out that I can have vbac ( virgina birth after c-sec) which he did not advise me to do that. And the operation wound is so ugly. His stitching is not very good too. This 3rd pregnancy I decided to choose DR tee. I remember everything is fine in the beginning . Until the 2nd trimester he realize that my placenta is low. According to him, may have a change to move becos is still early.. He keep close to my every check up and ultrasound.. Until the 3rd trimester. He advise me to have more rest in bed as I may have bleeding during 3rd trimester pregnancy. I thought he is just joking and still continue my daily activities and shopping until there's was a time I really bleed. And bleed alot.. I was so scared and went to hospital. Admitted at my 27 weeks pregnancy.. I'm know dr tee only go for A1 and B1 ward. But due to my condition and only 27 weeks pregnancy.. If I deliver baby that time with B1 ward, my bill will be 6 digits. The admission nurse advise me to take c class ward. Until now, on and off I admitted 3rd time already and cannot discharge until deliver.. I will be deliver in 37 weeks. If follow hospital procedures , dr tee will not operate for me becos I'm in c class ward. But my condition is really high risk as I'm having placenta previa major. My placenta is covering the whole cervix. Which most doctor cannot operate this. C class ward doctor is just normal doctor, he quite worry I think.. And I heard one of the doctor say dr tee insist want to operate for me.. My c-sec date is near soon.. Although I dont know whether will he operate for me yet but I would like to thank him for the concern. Will update you girls after my operation .
