i tried epidural this time, cos my labour was so detailed, tho i tried to be heroic..dont want any pain relief until about 4plus..hehe, but cant take it then asked for epi.. wa.. i itched, n then shivered, delivery suite was super cold.. plus being there for hours... then asked for top up at 8.40pm... did you actually feel anything after yr baby's head was down n was ready to come out? i took epi but when the baby's head was coming down,i felt the pressure n the pain was so bad... was epi supposed to cover the pain at all?

Thanks babe! Yup...it has been some time since i heard from her. The last time i saw her post was when she told us that her baby decided to come out earlier than her induced date. If i'm not mistaken she delivered on the 19th Nov. I'm also waiting for her to update us with her labour story. Probably she's busy with her baby...
lucky you never feel much pain.. haha i tink it depends on individual , maybe for some it covers the pain, maybe for me it wasnt supposed to cover at all.. haha after all epi covers about 80 % of the pain.. oki , enjoy motherhood
Many, many thanks to you for sharing your labour experience. I’m a first time MTB also and I think you’ve provided me with much needed information on my decision to have natural or C-Section.
I currently live in Thailand with my hubby, who is working here. We’re both Singaporean. My EDD is 7 Jan 10, but the hospital where I will be delivering my baby does not administer Epidural. Which is why I’ve opted for C-section (albeit reluctantly). Many people have advised me otherwise because of the pain after C-section, the slower healing process and also missing out on the natural birth experience.
But I know myself, I have an extremely low threshold for pain. At least in Singapore, I will have the option to get the ‘Happydural’ if I could not take the pain. Not here.
And oh my goodness, you have a very beautiful daughter. Congratulations and here’s wishing you Happy Motherhood
Hi Dearie Haffa...!!
I hope its not too late for me to wish you CONGRATS on your new baby...She looks soooo sweet and serene...Such a pretty baby..!!! So sorry i havent been online lately...Im just too occupied with my baby boy..!!! Once again, congrats on your precious one..!!!
Initially i was totally against epidural coz i told myself that i could just endure with the pain. However, on the day itself, I had no choice coz the pain was unbearable. I wanted to enjoy the whole labour process therefore decided to opt for epidural and that turned out to be the best decision. I know there are side effects for epidural but i guess i'll deal with it when the time comes.
So sorry to hear that the hospital that you will be at doesn't administer epidural. I guess it doesn't matter whether it is natural birth or c-sect, the most important thing is that our baby is out safe and healthy. All the best for your c-sect yeah. Do update use here when you baby is born.
