Baby Elton is born! =)

I was induced on 2nd of February, insert 2 tablets altogether and finally Elton is willingly to come out on the 4th of February.. He was 3430g at birth =)

How was the induction for you?? What kind of pills do they use? Are they prostaglandins? (Sorry I am new here, just joined today)
How long was the labour.. is it very painful? can you share Elton's Birth-day story here?? did you name him after elton john?? hehee..

hope you dont't mind me, asking so many questions.. my edd is 14th Feb 2010. So, it is my turn, very very soon!

its ok.. thanks anyway! one word torturing for me! lol.. hmm i'm not sure what the pills are call.. i've forgotten how long too.. its very painful when contractions come! ok i will share his birth story here.. haha i didn't name him after elton john =) i'm getting really excited for you! anyway urs is gal or boy?

2nd of February

Left house at 11am plus,
took bus to Kandang Kerbau Hospital..
reach there,
went up to Delivery Suite..
i was been sent to the room inside,
while Z was waiting outside..
after went in,
was strap on CTG..
need to observe for 20 mins before insert tablet..
nurse came in to check and say need to observe another 20 mins..
another 20 mins pass,
was still unable to insert..
in the end was observed for 1 hr..
nurse came in to do VE and she said i am not dilated yet..
3.35pm insert 1st tablet..
tummy start to have slight contraction..
was still bearable for me..
was in Delivery Suite for 2 hours..
nurse came in at 6pm to take off the CTG thing..
6.20pm got sent up to ward..
had my dinner and was resting on bed..
Z left at 8pm..
8.20pm was strap on CTG again..
was observed for 40 mins like that..
10.20pm lights off..
was about to fall aslp when i feel pain comin in at 10.50pm..
it lasted for 1 hr..
called Z and told him about the pain..
tis time the pain was kinda unbearable for me..
Z told me to press the bell for help..
nurse came to ask what happen,
told her i was having pain and it lasted for 1 hr already..
so i was sent to Delivery Suite at 11.20pm..
was strap on CTG and put drip..
the pain was getting more and more intense..
wanted to request for epidural,
but doctor says its too early..
doctor came to do VE,
and says i'm only 1.5cm dilated..
was jab on thigh..
but could still feel the pain..
4am was sent back to ward..
the nurse told me if i cannot stand the pain then tell them..
was lying on bed and keep feeling the pain..
couldn't sleep for the whole nite..

3rd of February

Mornin took blood pressure and temperature..
was strap on CTG after that..
the weird thing was,
after i woke up,
there was no pain already..
at 11am plus,
Z came and acc me..
we went down to have his lunch..
then walk around to see things..
back ward at 12pm plus..
chatted with Z and as usual,
he was asking Elton when he is comin out..
about 9pm plus,
Z left..
at 10pm,
was informed to go down Delivery Suite to insert 2nd tablet..
so i told Z and asked him to stayed back..
Z was outside waiting for me..
and we were smsin each other..
was observed for 40 mins,
only had slight pain like the day before..
after observing,
Z acc me back to ward to rest..
i wanted him to stay so badly but it's impossible..
so i was rather emotional as i was afraid the pain will come back like before..
in the end,
i slept thru the nite..

4th of February

Mornin,
was havin pain when i woke up..
was still bearable..
nurse came to do CTG..
after awhile,
doctor came to do VE,
and she told me i'm 3cm dilated..
after awhile nurse came to inform me to go down Delivery Suite..
9.30pm got sent down to Delivery Suite..
was strap on CTG first..
called Z to come down as i might give birth soon..
so when i'm lying down,
Z was beside me giving me moral support..
was put on drip after that..
soon the pain was really unbearable..
i was like calling in pain..
Z keep on asking me to jiayou..
when the nurse came in,
i requested for epidural..
soon the anaesthetist was here..
Z was asked to go out..
as soon as epidural was done,
the pain was gone..
after that doctor came in to check,
told me she will burst my waterbag..
after burst,
i got no feeling coz epidural was on..
so i was lying there watchin tv with Z..
soon the side effects came in..
my both legs was numbed and i was feeling really sleepy..
and my face was feeling very itchy..
later was feeling abit giddy too..
soon got the feel to pass motion..
was very uncomfortable and i keep trying to hold back..
as i'm scare that i will pass my shit out!
lol..
at about 4.45pm,
nurse came in to ask me try push..
pushed for 2 times but nth happen..
so was told to rest..
i kept telling the nurse the feel to pass motion is very uncomfortable..
but she told me its normal coz baby is comin down..
nurse came in again and told me the epidural is finishing..
and she asked me whether i want them to top up or just off it..
if top up i will have to wait 1-3 hours again..
so asked her to off it..
after off it,
the pain did not come back,
so the nurse injected something into the drip to make my contractions come..
but i still didn't feel the pain..
at about 5.05pm,
nurse told me she gonna ask me to push again..
so with her help,
i start to push really hard..
the nurse told me i was doing very well..
tis time i push for 4-5 times and Elton is out..
doctor came in to stitch my below..
got stitch for 1 hr like that coz Elton's head was quite big..
i had to bear with the pain and i didn't dare to use the laughing gas..
after stitching,
got sent up to ward to rest..
tats all for Elton's birth story..
