If you are breast feeding, I would suggest you drink more milk as it contains a lot of protein which is important for your body repair.
I am currently feeding my wife with Anmum, its about 22$ for 650 gram.
If you are on a budget, I would just suggest that you buy any powdered milk to save money. Otherwise UHT milk (those milks in boxes) or fresh milk will be very good for your body too.
You have just given birth, and you body needs a lot of nutrition for body repair.
I would also suggest to drink more plain water, as water retention is usually caused by lack of water in the body, seldom excess.
If you drink a lot of water, yet experience this, check your diet and see if you are actually eating enough protein.
Foods such as beef, pork, pig kidney & livers, are very very high in protein and contains all the 10 amino acids that your body requires.
Otherwise, please see a doctor. It will be much better that way.
