Would like to find out if any Mummies out there also faces the same problem. My baby princess (who has just turn 6 months) refuses to sleep during the day. Her nap last for only 15 to 20 mins and that can last for 3 to 4 hours. Sigh... really worried that it will affect her growth.
Ya ... its so worrying.. sigh... does yours wake up frequently for night feed? Mine still does it now...... dont know if its bcos Breastfeed babies get hungry faste..
mine too doesn't nap long in the day.. my son is currently 7 months old.. this is quite normal as they grow older there are lots of things for them to learn like playing with toys, their legs and hands etc.. too much excitement for them to go to sleep and the only time my son will sleep for long is when he was out, the movement of the stroller can make him sleep for 1 to 2 hours, of cos in the air conditioned environment.. i think this happened to most babies..
have you started on solid food for your baby as you mentioned about waking up many times for milk feed? if not, then it's time for you to start giving solid food on top of breastmilk..
Oh yes I have... I think the night feed is like a comfort to her since she strongly refused pacifier.... Really wonder what all these babies are thinking... dont they get tired.....
I have a problem with my daughters sleeping time.
She is turning 4 months. Recently she learnt how to blabber and can recognize me when I look at her. So because of this, in the middle of the night she will wake up and talk non stop. For a few hours. It's been 2 nights since she started this which means she have not sleep for 2 nights already. She will wake up at about 3+ and starts talking. I tried patting her, soothing her, carrying her and gave her milk but even after all this she still stays awake.
Even in the afternoon she won't sleep much. Usually after her milk she will sleep but this few days I had a hard time trying to make her sleep. The thing is she is tired but just refuse to sleep.
And this also makes me wonder, maybe all along I assume she slept thru the night but in actual fact she has been awake? Just that she have not learn to blabber this did not wake us up?
Am I thinking too much? I'm quite worried when she is not sleeping.
Hey my girl did that too this morning.. she woke up at 4am and start babbling.. haha.. think this is the growing phase of all babies whose curiosity overrides their tiredness..... Guess as mummies, we just gotta try to relax...
Think it will be worst when they start teething....
My gal refused to nap at all when she was around 1mth. It drove me crazy that time cos if she didnt nap, I couldnt too.
I tried letting her sleep on tummy and soon after that she could nap for at least 2-3hrs one shot.
She started to flip (rotate tummy or back sleeping) when she sleeps a month ago and on top of that, she is addicted to pacifier. I have hard time patting her to sleep in the middle of the night
