My 7 month old baby caught HFMD from his primary 1 cousin. I initially thought it was quite mild as he only had a mild fever and rashes on his hands and feet. He was his usual happy active self. But now (1 day after) his mouth ulcers are starting to appear and he is now getting very clingy and cries easily. He is also drinking very little. I think the ulcers are hurting, that's why he doesn't want to drink.
We took him to a GP because it was a Saturday and his pediatrician's clinic was closed. The doc only gave him meds for the fever.
Any advice? How can I get him to drink more? Very scared that he will be dehydrated. Should I bring him to the pediatrician?
