Different baby have different drinking amount. dont't have to follow the steps on the tin, that's just for you to see see only. Just like my darling girl, when she's 1mth old, she only took 90ml, for me I'll slowing increase the amount by 10ml by 10ml. Until now she's 2mths 12days old, she's drinking 120ml. Never follow what the tin steps.
Too diluted milk maybe will let your baby feel not full enough, and maybe will have loose stool. For me, I think if you give 150ml, better stick with 5scoop. See if your baby will finish or not, and after finish how long can the baby last to the next feed.
But pls remember this!!
Doesn't mean baby wake up cry means the baby wants milk.
baby can't speak, they only can express their discomfort by using cry.
They maybe hungry/wet diaper/stomach discomfort/sleepy need ppl sayang and etc..
Better dont't be like my father in law, whenever my baby cry he keep ask me go make milk for baby. Zzz
Another thing is, some babies dont't know when is full, some babies just suck when they know something in their mouth. Lol. So just feed your baby the amount you feeding now then see if the baby can stay for 2.5 to 3hours or not, then if can, will the baby puke? (a lil bit is fine, but if it's 'merlion style' of puking, means overfeed) but do remember to burp the baby well. If a baby is burpping well, of cos they will have a lesser chance of puking.
Just my 20cents of tots.
