Hello all mummies,
could share your baby's feeding amount?
Mine is 10 weeks old but drink only ~120ml every 4 hours; 4 to 5 feeds per day.
Is this normal or too little?
Adena does not wake up at all in the night for feeding. Her last feed is usually at 10pm and her next feed is at 6.30am. This has been her feeding pattern after the 1st month.
Wonder why she doesnt feel hungry after so many hours???
funny is that she is not a small baby.. she is born 3.6kg
How about for a 6week old baby? How much should she be drinking?
I am breastfeeding and giving formula milk as well cos my milk supply may not be sufficient.
But my baby seems ok when I express out 60ml of breastmilk to feed her. And during the night, I will give her formula milk. She is fed approximately every 2.5 - 3 hours interval.
dont worry baby is fine... not all baby drink alot.. when my son was that small his intake was 60ml only haha.. but my gal was 80ml to 100ml cannot compare . So long baby growth is ok then alrite
Sorry, I am not too sure where to get those.. Maybe you can ask the clinic assistant when you bring your darling for jab?
my son now 10 weeks drinks 120ml every 3-4 hours. if his last feed is at 12am he would wake up for milk at 6am. sometimes he would sleep through from 7.30pm so i have to wake him up to feed him at 12am so that he can sleep through. if he missed 12am feed, he would wake up at 2 or 3am for milk.
erm... i have been experiencing some problem this two days.. dont know if it is normal. my boy usually very punctual with his feeds. but now he would stretch the day feed too. he stretched till 4 hours yet does not cry for milk. worried so i feed him at 4 hours even if he does not cry for milk. but he is not able to finish his milk. there will always be a balance of 40ml or 20ml recently. during feed, he would put the teat left and right in his mouth as though playing. or he will use his tongue to push it out... is this normal?

I tried giving Iggy thru bottle however the moment he suck and taste water, he will get choke and do the wanna vomit sound. And EVERYTIME IS like that! So I got fed up, feed him thru cup but then he will sip and puuu the water out. Same goes to juices. Only milk he won't do that..
Maybe you can increase the milk slightly to make her last longer.. *giggles*
If your baby is hungry, he will wake up for feeds. Like mine.
At 2 months old, he is able to sleep through the night. But will wake up occassionally if he needs his feed. However, my boy drink alot. Something 7 feed a day, sometime 8 feed a day. Each time 120ml of milk. So his drinking alot.
dont't worry. =)
So my mum suggest that i increase the amount of water when i making his feed. So he drink more water and it won't be so heaty.
As for me, i tried to feed him water when he's sleeping. That is the time, he won't knows whether it is water or milk.
My girl does not cry for milk now.. she would just stick out her tongue when she's hungry but she does not finish her milk too. She used to finish 150ml every 4hrs. Recently, she just drank about 120ml and would also put the teat to the right or left of her mouth..
That was why i am worried that she is not drinking enough..
I have seen huge babies at 4 months old, with the "layers" on the thighs and hands..
I doubt i can have that with this type of drinking..
wonder any experienced mummies could share this too..
Chubby babies not necessary good health darling, so dont't worry too much. It also depends on other factors like parents genes. As long as your baby is healthy and putting on weight reasonably, you shouldn't fret too much.
