Recently, my 2 month+ gal have been displaying the following behaviour:
1) Eating small feeds (60ml - 90ml) every 1-2 hours instead of her usual 120ml every 2.5-3hrs.
This has caused her feeding schedule to be all messed up and we have wasted lots of formula in the process as we are not sure how much she'll be eating.
2) Sleeping at 10pm, wake up for dream feed at 3am and then from 7am to 8am start to fuss, 8am fall aslp again until 9am "officially" wake up.
We're really puzzled about the fussing from 7am to 8am. Its like she still wants to sleep but keep crying. Give her pacifier, she'll be quiet. Then she'll spit the pacifier out and then cry for it after a few minutes. This will go on for the whole one hour.
Why is she developing these "bad habits"? Any advice or similar experience to share?
hmmm your girl is still young, so her feeding intervals will be quite unstable. some days they want more, some days they just dont feel like having much.
well 2 options you can try.
lets say, she have her first feed at 8am- i will give 120 ml. (cos start of the day)
if next feed is 1-2 hours later, give 60/90ml, if 2.5-3 hours later, i give 120ml.
other option is, to play it safe in order not to waste FM, just give 90ml thru out, if she wants more then make again.
that was what i did when pin had this "unstable" milk feed issue. they shld settle down n "stablize" after a while.
since you know she starts fussing arnd 7am, try to standby arnd that time n pat or swaddle her bck to sleep.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
He used to be sleeping from about 10-11pm thru to about 4am for his feed and then another feed around 7am. But recently it is all messed up because of this issue. Will this last long?
I have never try dreamfeeding. Does it work?
I tried dreamfeeding, baby drank only 20ml.
dreamfeeding is like, to feed your baby when he is sleeping, so that mums have a longer sleep.
